feel free to publish our response
As Canadians travelling through Europe we found Villa Angelica wonderful. We would recommend it to our closest friends. The rooms were beautiful, wonderful breakfast included, and great pains were taken by the owner to translate and make reervations for us on English tours. I can't say enough..because it was family friendly and accepted our older children without huge additional charges. An extremely good rate for the value.
One of the few establishments in the Venice area that accepts family and is soundproof.

As we had to check out in the morning, and our flight was in the evening, we had problems to leave our luggage somewhere safe.

Villa Angellica, was fantastic in every aspect, i would have no problem in recommending it to anybody the people were most helpful and made out stay so very memorable, if i was to go back to Venice i would book my accomodation in Villa Angellica. The house keeper Angela is a lady.

It took a bit of time locating the place from the Boat station. However, on arrival we had a pleasant experience. The fridge in the room was good idea. I got a lot of good tourism related tips from the Villa. It was a warm experience.

Lido truned out to be an excellent place to stay. Very elegant and away from the hectic pace and noise of Venice proper. Need however to factor in some additional cost for ferrying to and fro and main spots (San Marco etc)

We had a small room but all the facilities were new : hair dryer, shower, heating, mini bar and we even had CNN! as compared with a B&B we had in Rome which was nice but not so well equipped.

Our Hostess was very gracious, we arrived a little early, but she made us feel immediately at home. She offered refreshments and snack in the garden while we waited for our rooms to be available (at no charge!!). Our host provided dorections and recommendations for dining on the Lido and for transportation to Venice and St Mark's. It was a very pleasent experience.

We were exceptionally pleased with our stay at Villa Angelica and would like to thank Ilaria Pistorello for all of her help and suggestions. She was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. She is truly an asset to Villa Angelica. We didn't meet very many of the other staff there, but the people that we did meet were cordial and very professional.

That it is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the other districts (islands?) in Venice (especially San Marco). That breakfast in the garden (complete with chirping birds and blossoming trees and floweres)is a wonderfully relaxing way to start your day exploring the sights of Venice.

Rooms are air conditioned, and there was a fridge in our room, which was handy for keeping drinks and snacks chilled. Outdoor shaded eating area looks over the neighbour's very pleasant yard. Quiet back street a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants, 5 mins from vaporetto and ferry. Children's swings next to outdoor eating area.

The staff were unbelievably kind, particularly the owner of the place (I don't know her name). The air conditioning unit unfortunately broke down the day before we arrived, which made the first couple of nights fairly unbearable. However, they bent over backwards, firstly to try and locate somewhere else for us to stay, and when that proved too expensive (rooms starting at about 200 euros a night at such short notice), they gave us the use of a full apartment a few blocks away, which whilst also without air conditioning, was more spacious and was higher up, thus getting a breeze. By the fourth night the air con was working again so we returned to our original room, which was absolutely lovely, modern and spotless. As with everywhere I stayed in Italy, I was overwhelmed with the both the quality of the accomodation and the friendliness and helpfulness of staff.

Since i arrived very late-01:00 a.m, i was very worry about the way from airport to the Hotel.
I was expected to someone to help me at the arrival in Lido island or at the airport. But it was not well worked, even they are very kind people.
More caring arrival guidance or service will be welcomed by new guests.
Except that arrival experience, i'm fully satisfy with them...

It should be noted that we were accommodated at checkout to store our luggage there until we had to catch our plane. However when we came back to retrieve the luggage and needed use of the WC - we were told that there was none available -- I thought this was rather rude after spending over $391 Euros!

It´s a very small hotel,I would say it´s a pension with just a few rooms, but it´s nice.

It´s a quiet, clean and nice place. But there is no big lobby and you get your breakfast in your hotelroom, there is no kitchen and no explicit eating-room.
