I found the hotel much smaller then I had expected after reading the web site. This was a small disapointment but not very serious. The hotel reminds me of my favorite in Paris - Hotel Esmeralda.

This is an unassuming but friendly hotel, superbly situated only two minutes from the vaporetto, five minutes from St Marks. The tiny dining room serves an excellent breakfast. But beware the bathrooms if you are at all large

A very charming receptionist greeted us. He informed us that the room would be ready in about an hour's time and that we could leave our luggage in the hotel. We saw it then being marked with our hotel room number.Were told that we had been given a very nice big room. Were informed that we could use the toilet on the first floor, before we went out for a walk. This friendly welcome meant a lot to us and put us in a very good mood.

My friend and I got a very good feeling about the hotel. Were a little bit worried at first when we saw all the scaffolding outside the hotel, but it did not affect us, as we could not see it from the room we were staying in. Appreciated the fact that we were offered to have our breakfast either in the breakfast room or delivered to our room.

The check out was quick and professional. Were allowed to leave our suitcases in the lobby, as we were not leaving Venice until the evening. The suitcases were this time marked with different coloured stickers, indicating that we had already checked out.

We are not quite sure why there was so much scaffolding around the entrance of the hotel. Couldn't see any building work going on inside. Should be investigated whether this would affect any of the rooms and if any serious building work is going on and for how long.

A hotel with charm and character, polite and friendly staff and in a very good location only a short walk from San Marco's Square.

Venice is always complicated! Finding the hotel proved a little tricky, but once found, it was so centrally located, it was tremendous!

Being able to make cups of tea for ourselves in the evening (in the Breakfast room) was an added bonus and MUCH appreciated. The breakfasts (provided in the price)were lovely, plentiful, and excellent value for money.

The room was lovely, the bathroom was large and everything was very clean. At times there was some building noise from renovations elsewhere in the property but this was not too disturbing. We were offered breakfast in the room at no extra charge.

Excellent location, delightful slightly faded elegance of the decor in our room although with a very modern bathroom, altogether comfortable, clean, well equipped and thoroughly good value for money.

It's a good hotel next to the centre and you can move everywhere on foot. it's really OK.

The staff at the main desk was very helpful with directions, transportation and made us feel very welcome. I hope to return to Venice soon and will stay at the Hotel Torino if possible.

Hotel Torino is at excellent location for visiting Venice. It is within an easy walk to Piazza San Marco and the Grand Canal. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
