Commentaires des Hôtes

We arrived much later than planned (1am), but the staff were still friendly and helpful.
One aspect that I appreciated was that our rooms were set up the way we needed them when we arrived. At several other hotels, they hadn't really understood that we needed beds for four in one of the rooms, but our San Cassiano rooms were set up exactly as requested. ... We were absolutely delighted with San Cassiano - Ca'Favretto. I can't say enough good things about our experience.
The hotel is a small, 'boutique'-style inn, close to the vaporetto (water-bus), and walking distance to the Rialto Bridge, San Marco's, etc., with a lot of cafes, restaurans and shops in the area. In other words, it is not directly in the touristy areas, but walking distance to all of them.
My husband and I were travelling with our four children (ages 18,13,11,9). We had just been in Paris, and had nice, but small rooms there. I was, frankly, worried about what we would find in Venice, but we couldn't have been more delighted.
We had two rooms: one for my husband, me and our two younger children, and a second for our two older children. Both rooms were large, quiet, well-furnished, had very comfortable beds, good a/c, and were spotless. Our room had two windows overlooking the canal. Our bathroom was large, very modern, with a bidet, bath and excellent shower (I didn't see the other bathroom, but the boys said it was good).
The breakfast room was bright and very pleasant, and we often were able to secure the two tables on the little balcony overlooking the canal. The breakfast was very nice.
The staff at the hotel were always pleasant and helpful.
I would consider the hotel expensive (we paid 340 and 250 for the rooms, including breakfast, a/c, and all taxes), but you can pay a lot more in Venice and get a lot less. I feel that we got value for what we paid, and there were no hidden costs.
The only negative I can think of is that there is no elevator (lift), so that could pose a problem for some travellers.
I would definitely recommend San Cassiano - Ca'Favretto, and would definitely stay there again. ... No problems on check-out, and no hidden costs! ... Although the pictures are accurate, they don't really do justice to the hotel, but otherwise, I think it is an accurate representation. ... See above.

I recommend you suggest that guests arrive via water taxi. ... A fabulous find and excellent location near the Rialto Bridge. Lovely accomodations, enjoyable bar and patio on the Grand Canal. The full breakfast was wonderful. We highly recommend Ca' Favretto.

Lovely hotel, thought room a little small and had emailed the hotel prior to travel in the hope that with it being our first visit could have had a room looking out over the canal but no reply. Was very pleased though with the hotel and the staff on reception each day were very polite. Thank you. ... Exrememly helpfull and we were able to leave luggage for a few hours until we needed to get transport back to the airport. ... Shoud be stated that the bar area is small and no draught beers. Should also say that rooms are very small. We felt a little cramped in our room. ... Was a beautifully presented hotel very elegant furnishings, have already passed the details to a friend however I have indicated that the rooms are small, well the one we had was! If I return to Venice i would probably book again or maybe one of the other hotels on your website.

Delightfully situated with stunning views over the Grand Canal. Rooms are classically furnished, very clean & quiet. A little off the main tourist routes so feels quite secluded. i would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Absolutely ideal for a tourist because it is very central for all of Venice's attractions whilst still being in a quiet area.

Your directions to the hotel need improvement. Simply to state near to S Stae vaparetto stop is not good enough!! You should email the map & directions in your brochure which is available at the hotel reception. This will save time & confusion & the carrying of heavy luggage in the wrong direction!! ... Excellent room, Good location from which to explore Venice. Hard to find (demand exact directions from hotel before travel)
