We would much preferred to be in the main
hotel. We were given the apartment with the
separate entrance in the alley. We were told
it was larger that a room in the main
building. The room was nice, but not what we
wanted. We were told it was all that they
had. Our arrival was on time. We booked this
room several months in advance. I think they
put us there in deference to other guests.

Please see comment. On a positive note, we
think the breakfast was outstanding. We think
they staff could have been more helpful on
places to eat.

I would tell them the location is very good
and that breakfast was very good.
I would also tell them they may not get the
room that they reserved.

The directions were not totally correct. The first street we took was called 'Albanesi' street but then the others were not as named in the directions. Also, it would be worth adding clearer info regarding Albanesi street. It is set well back off the street and almost hidden behind a column and as wide as an alley rather than a road.

Staff were well prepared and helpful. They were more than happy to store our luggage on the last day and they offered us 'bathroom services' when we collected our luggage on route to the airport.

A very good hotel with excellent friendly and helpful staff located in a perfect location. It is very good value for Venice. Would recommend.

The walls are very thin and everything could be heard. Noise was an issue. It was clean, which is good.

It was fine, but did not meet my expectations. The hower stall was tiny and room very cramped, but I guess it's to be expected in Venice. In the pictures, you can't tell the room is so small.

Staff made great recommendations for restaurants. More than helpful with transportation. Breakfast was awesome and the staff very accomodating. Was very gracious when we chose to dine one evening in the outdoor seating area with our own antipasto and wine. Beds were very comfortable, probably the best we stayed in while in Italy. Could not figure out the air conditioner, but ended up not needing it anyway. Felt like home, including
Molly the dog. The location was perfect. Close to San Marcos and restaurants and shopping, but off the beaten path when you were ready to leave the crowds.

We left early, so we checked out the night before. Water Taxi was there and waiting just as promised. Great place, great staff/owners and an overall rating of 'A' for the hotel.

The hotel was friendly and clean. No where is too far in Venice but this is a great location just a few minutes walk from St Mark's square and the main shopping streets. Some lovely, quiet side streets close by take you into a completely different world. We really enjoyed our stay.

because of its age and location, the rooms were small, but that is not a drawback in this case.

In Venice, 'value for the money' is relative. Everything is expensive so it's hard for me to judge how the value was for the money.

It's centrally located, quite charming, and easy to locate. It's not difficult to get there, even while toting various pieces of luggage. The staff was attentive, English speaking, helpful. Food was varied, plentiful and good. Rooms were comfortable.

The room was very clean and fresh. We had the higher priced superior room, and we are not clear what was better about the room than the regular double room. The room was smaller that we expected. The room was also very quiet, which was nice. The breakfast served was better than expected. Good quality and variely.

Since we arrived late we got the last of the rooms and they gave us the last,which was on the third floor of adjacent building and we had to carry our luggage up and down 3 flights. I really don't believe your arrival time should determine the room you get. We were paying the normal price of the room and the reservation was made well in advance. People making late reservation should be receiving the worst room at the property. If anything we should have been given some sort of discount, but I am finding that hotels in italy just feel like they have the upper hand because of their popularity and I am not liking it and I am Italian

Nothing was mentioned about them not having an elevator and the possibility of being placed on the third floor. At the least they should have had a porter or bellman.

I asked for additional check out time and was not given, however I heard the manger make arrangements with itailain guests for extra time. Also, i wanted to cash travel checks and they would only cash with an additional charge. You would think the least they could do was cash the check without the 7euro charge for 200 in US$
