The woman at the front desk was very friendly and noticed that the next day was my birthday. It was late (930pm) but she let us know that we could get something to eat and drink upstairs in the bar, which we did. It was just what we wanted.

Our room was pretty small. From what I understand, it is the only room that has 2 beds, which is what we needed.
The shampoo was half empty and was not replaced the second night.
I LOVED the Vescine, though. It is a gorgeous, gorgeous setting, and the room was spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful and nice.

Why is the little wine bar never open? Is it more like a wine store which opens for people to purchase wind?

Beautiful, somewhat remote setting. When you wake in the morning you see nothing but trees and hear nothing but birds. Spotlessly clean, bright rooms. Ask for a larger room or you may get a small one.

Calm place to relax in, with a glass of wine in your hand, sitting outside your spacious room, feeling the midieval period and looking out on the heart of Tuscany.

We really enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were very friendly. Its a really beautiful hotel set in a quiet valley. My only minor complaint is that the tennis court could do with being better maintained.

The property is 'out of the way', about 20 minutes of mountainous driving before reaching a main thoroughfare and further yet to the autostrada. Lots of privacy because of the layout and entrances to the buildings.

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful; in the mountains, with gorgeous vistas; like living in a tiny, hillside village with individual, private houses, red tiled rooves, and cobble-stone walkways between the buildings. I would recommend it - unless night driving is a problem. Great variety of breakfast foods served in a beautiful location. Public rooms all beautifully upholstered and appointed.

Very nice resort. Rooms are little dated and dark. Pool has a nice view. Restaurant onsite had good Tuscan food for a good value. Good location in Chianti.
