We visited this charming hotel during their off season (Nov) so we didn't have to deal with crowds and we parked our car in front. Very friendly service, lovely grounds, beautiful view overlooking the hills of Tuscany, and a few steps from San Gimignano. We enjoyed the service and the great buffet breakfast.

EXCELLENT HOTEL. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN BUT WOULD WANT TO SPECIFY ROOM OVERLOOKING POOL AND WITH COUNTRY VIEWS. OURS ONLY LOOKED OUT TO THE BUILDING NEXT DOOR.

IMMACULATE HOTEL, FRIENDLY SERVICE, VERY GOOD BREAKFAST, AN EASY WALK TO THE CENTRE OF TOWN WHERE THE RESTAURANTS ARE UNIVERSALLY GOOD AND ARE VALUE FOR MONEY. WE WOULD CERTAINLY GO AGAIN.

The stay was generally good. However we did have an infestation of Ants in the room early in the week and an infestation of flies on the last night. These were both despite our being vigelent with the opening and closing of the balcony doors etc.
Additionally, for a room that was upgraded from standard and for which we paid a premium, we were dissappointed withe the amount of room in the shower and the general comfort.

As stated initially, we enjoyed our stay despite our misgivings about our particular room. We will be more informed for any return visits we make.

We were driving on to Verona and were extremely pleased that at 6.00am a member of staff actually made coffe for us without us asking. This was extremely thoughtful and a gesture we will not forget.

There are extremely good facilities at the hotel. I'm convinced that the hotel could make more use of some of them, for instance the bar in the evening. This was a facility where if you required it you had to try to find a member of staff to serve. However, this did not spoil our enjoyment.

One that could have been improved on, had we made more enquiries about the room, its size and facilities and not trusted the overall description. Also one that despite our observations, was a friendly hotel in which we were made to feel comfortable and welcome and would consider for a future visit.

A small upscale hotel with very close walking access to the town. An excellent relaxing stop in what is usually a hectic travel schedule filled with 'basic' accomdations.

We forgot to take the directions with us, but the signs to the hotel were very clear.

We were very pleased with the hotel, and enjoyed using the pool after a long hot day of touring. We also loved the short walk to town. The view from our hotel balcony was the beautiful Tuscan coutryside.

Some maps and local bus/train timetables/tourist information would be helpful. There was a notice board with similar items pinned up but some were out of date and less than helpful.

The small double rooms overlooking the pool had a superb view of the countryside but they were very 'compact' for a 14 nights' stay. I was aware however at booking that they would be small so this is not a complaint. The air conditioning needs upgrading as the weather during our September stay was very hot (90 degrees + every day) and the air-con did not seem to cool the room to an acceptable ambient temperature. Storage space was very limited in the room and the wardrobs did not cope with clothes for 2 adults for a 14 nights' stay. The 'satellite' TV was limited to CNN and BBC World News for english channels - tiresome for a 14 nights' stay.

I would stress that the small double rooms are very small. The views are fabulous and the balconies are huge though but we found the room claustrophobic. Air con needs sorting as above. I do not think that clients should have to pay 13 Euros to park within the hotel gates every night. We managed to park on the outside in the hotel's allocated 10 spaces a few metres away but I think charging customers to park within the hotel gates is not appropriate.

Fantastic views, excellent location, lovely peaceful location, pool and gardens and friendly staff. Just 10 mins walk from the centre so great if you wish to eat locally in San Gimignano and not have to drive on the local unlit roads afterwards. Be very very careful about booking your room depending on what you want. We heard many arrivals asking to be relocated from their allocated rooms as they didnt have a view over the countryside. The rooms at the back of the hotel looked very dark and do not get any sun during the day and the balconies looked very small.

Very good location even if you have a car because you can walk into the town. The hotel is also very comfortable and relaxed.
