We weren't sure where in the town the hotel was located. It wasn't really a problem for us but it might be helpful to future guests to provide more clarity on location--such as parking or driving in, dropping bags and then parking.We weren't sure if San Quirico was a town we could drive into or not!

We were thrilled with our room and the hotel. We never imagined we'd have such a lovely room and view. Photos are often deceiving so to discover the hotel was so lovely was a treat.

The site may have talked about their garden but not enough! The back garden of the hotel is wonderful.
It didn't matter to us but they should state no elevator. I know my mother would love to stay here but wouldn't be able to handle all the steps. Also, noting that some rooms (ours in particular) had steps to get to the bathroom. However, that was evident in the photo on the site. Just might help elderly travelers.

This is a lovely, charming, wonderful little hotel tucked into a small, friendly town. It was a relaxing base for exploring Tuscany.

Fortunately we arrived early in the day as the staff was closing the front desk shortly after our arrival. The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful by taking our extremely heavy luggage to our room. We enjoyed a cappucino upon arrival while the staff gave us information about the area and directions to the places we wanted to visit.

Palazzo del Capitano was recommended to us by friends who have visited twice previously. We were delighted by the beautiful building and the cleanliness and comfort of our room. The delicious breakfast that was served each morning was the best of our Italy experiences to date.

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival at Palazzo del Capitano to find such comfortable accommodation in a beautiful historic building. The rooms are appointed nicely with antiques, a warm atmosphere, and the most comfortable bed we had experienced in our three week journey through Italy. Although the hotel is located in a small village, it was easy to find a good meal, and all the necessities. San Quirico d'Orcia is very convenient to all the locations we wanted to visit so made for a perfect home base for day trips throughout Tuscany. We will definately return in the future!

We loved our stay. There was a nice kitchenette below our room with cups, a hot water kettle, hot tea, etc. But, no coffee. For us Americans, please stock the area with some coffee.

Perfect location with friendly people to help and great accomodations. Great breakfast included in rate. All was wonderful. Would highly recommend to others travelling to Tuscany.

We loved the hotel, it's location, the staff were very friendly but the room we stayed in was very noisy. (Toro) We could hear everything going on downstairs at the reception to the man using the bathroom next door. The town bells rang every hour on the hour thoughout the night. The noise was the only down fall. Everything else was above and beyond in service.
