This was a great hotel and I would recomend it to friends, the only problem was the map of directions, very poor and confusing, we spent about one hour to find the hotel just because the map was so poor.

It was a loverly hotel in a beautiful area. the facilities were very good and the service excellent, we had a 1st class meal in the restaurant. We had only a few days stay but would go back another time Thanks.

There is a youth/social club next door, and on our first night, Saturday, the music was so load, that as our veranda overlooked the club, we could hardly speak to each other.
The level went down later, but I was concerned that the Hotel should have asked the club to keep the music level down. There was no requirement for it to be so high, even for those at the club.

We felt that the dining experience could have been enhanced. The food was good but the restaurant lacked a certain style. I'd suggest the room needs a figurehead eg. restaurant manager who can take control and give it some 'personality'. It would then be perfect.

We got held up on route and telephoned ahead to let the hotel know we would be arriving a little later than planned. The receptionist was marvellous and reassured us that everything was OK. She also asked where we were and gave us explicit details of how to find the hotel.

Was disappointed the hotel restaurant was closed on Tuesdays and we had to go elsewhere. We were not aware this was the case as we did not see it stated in any of the advertising. It may have been possible we just missed this aspect, still, we think if a hotel has a restaurant it is reasonable to expect it to be open 7 days a week.
I do feel it is important to add that one of the reasons we were so disappointed the restaurant was closed was the fact that the food was absolutely excellent and we could not find another restaurant that could compare to the quality and standard of the chef and the waiting staff.
Finally, I would also like to add that I became unwell on my last night there and had a black out. The staff, and Mr Leonitti, were absolutely wonderful in respect to the care they showed me.

An absolutely superb place to stay where one is well looked after in all respects - wonderful food, excellent setting, lovely pool, friendly staff, lovely room. My only advice to a friend if they were to go would be to taake plenty of mosquito repellent!!!

We did not print the directions (we should have). It was not easy to find the Hotel. We called them, but the staff at the Hotel struggled to give us directions from where we were to the Hotel.

The one service that was not as expected was the Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi. The Swimming pool was an outdoor pool and was not heated. The Jacuzzi was not warm. This is the ONLY issue we had at Hotel Le Renai. Everything else was OUTSTANDING.

Only problem we had was a leaking pipe in the bathroom which was attended to, but not fixed, and the cold water supply in the basin was very limited, probably due to the leak. The room in the annexe was on the small side with not such a good view, but the hotel generally was excellent.

The young lady at check-in was not as pleasant as she could have been. We had requested a balcony and the room booked overlooked the road and garage and was quite small. She showed me a new room which was excellent but she was not pleased that I had asked to change.

The Hotel Le Renaie was a true Tuscan experience. The grounds and surrounding area were lovely and the central location allowed for easy day tripping. We especially enjoyed the dining room which provided a substantial breakfast each morning and the evening meals were outstanding.

Some rooms do have a balcony and better views.There is a price difference but we were not aware that this might have been possible.

very convenient place to stay to explore Tuscany. half board option good value. restaurant has a wide choice of food on the menu and a good selection of wines. breakfast extremely good value. pretty garden to sit out in to read or talk.rural situation in a very small but attractive village with good views of typical Tuscan countryside.very friendly and helpful staff.worth asking about possibility of room with a balcony.swimming pool well maintained and situated. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel and the restaurant.

In den letzten 20 Jahren war ich nun schon das vierte Mal in diesem Hotel. Sollte ich wieder mal in der Nähe von San Gimignano übernachten, dann wieder dort.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist -für die Region Toskana- gut: die Lage des Hotels ist fantastisch, hauptsächlich ruhigere Gäste bzw. ältere Paare, das Personal bzw. die Inhaberfamilie freundlich und zuvorkommend, Zimmer sauber und gut, Frühstück (bewertet am sonstigen italienischen Standard)würde ich als gut bezeichnen.
Das Abendessen (entweder im voraus als Halbpension für den gesamten Aufenthalt oder vor Ort tageweise nach Vorreservierung) ist geschmacklich sehr gut - Preise ortsübliche gehobene Gastronomie.

THE ONLY PROBLEM I EXPERIENCED WAS THE SHOWER FAILED TO DRAIN PROPERLY. I REPORTED IT BUT IT WAS NOT DEALT WITH.
OTHERWISE A VERY GOOD HOTEL WITH VERY PLEASANT STAFF
