Arrival was just as expected. We were warmly greeted and shown to our roons. We had stopped prior to arrival to pick up some lunch items and when we set them out on a table outside, the owner, Mario, immediately got out plates and glasses and napkins for us to use. Such great service came without asking and without fanfare, just a welcoming gesture.

We have stayed in the area before and were looking forward to getting back. La Lodola was much more than expected and we would never hestitate to return. Mario and his son Carlo were always available and very helpful at all times.

A most wonderful experience and beautiful grounds. Staff always helpful and Carlo cooked meals for us twice which were fantastic.

La Lodola was absolutely charming and wonderful it was perfect. Mario and his family went out of their way to make us feel at home, they were perfect hosts and we are planning to return to stay with them in the near future and have already highly recommmended them to family and friends. The house was extremly beautiful and elegant with classical music playing in the background and we were given fruit and drinks by the pool it was just perfect, thankyou so vey much for a wonderful honeymoon, Marie and Nico.

That the family is absolutely charming and wonderful and the location of the house makes it a perfect touring spot to see other places ie: Pienza, Montepulchiano, Arezzo, assisi etc all of which are very easy to drive to and you don't need a map as everything is so perfectly signposted, very easy to travel around.

Absolutely perfect, a charming hotel with style and taste, beautiful rooms and very quiet and understated. Very relaxing but great location if you want to explore area. The family were wonderful, very gracious hosts a delight to stay with.

The Manager and his wife are great human beings, they made the whole stay wonderful and made us feel at home.

You should have a map on how to get there with the distances from Cortona or other villages around.

The most incredible bed & breakfast outside of the tourist places and in the middle of Tuscany.

The directions could be clearer, in particular that you should initially follow the signs to Foiano, and then follow the signs to Lucignano until reaching the church, where you take the right fork to Pozzo,it is then about 400m on the left

That there is an attached Osteria, run by one of the sons. It's wonderful!

We have greatly appreciated our stay at La Lodola,the very courteous hospitality of the hosts , the cleaver and original gastronomy , the excellent confort of the room acccomodation,and the wonderlul location with a nice view on the fields and -valleys,all made our sojourn very agreable so that we are dreaming to return to Toscany and stay at La Lodola
