Modern , clean and a good place to stay ,which is central for some of the attractions of Tuscany ,with nearby rail links .

very nice accommodation, pleasant staff, good distance to all main sights (florence, pisa, vinci), fairly nice walk to the empoli train station, free and safe parking area with plenty of space for all cars, surrounding areas also felt safe and pleasant, overall very good value for money

Excellent hotel. Very modern, comfortable beds , great bathroom & good breakfast. Very quiet place, no traffic noise.

Da Vinci is a very nice hotel in the countryside. The staff is friendly, they all had good English. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms lovely. There's a supermarket next door, the train station is only a mile down the road. The hotel's restaurant is quite expensive, though.

The hotel was really nice, modern and a convenient base in relation to the train station in Empoli. However, there are no buses into Vinci itself from there so to visit it, you would need to go by taxi. I would definately stay there again as it was really good value for money.

The noise from the hallway was disturbing. There was cigarette smoke wafting through the air ducts every night. I believe that on 3 occasions the smoke alarm was tripped.

The hotel is becoming more expensive. The property is getting older. Why the additional costs? It is not good that the hotel charges a higher price when calling directly than can be found elsewhere. Otherwise, the property is relatively clean. People at reception are there if you need them, though not outgoing. The carpet on the 1st floor (near rooms numbered 500+)is gross.

Exceptionally clean room. Loved the flat screen and int. connection.
Breakfast was excellent and very nice and friendly staff.
The proximity for travelling was great and the bar next door was wonderful and the convenience for shopping- cosmetics, photography, snacks from supermarket....ice-cream made things easy.
Very helpful and professional receptionists/
I have already recommended The Da Vinci to friends.

Great location for going east west north or south. Easy to get in and out(not like when staying in Florence, Bologna, Venice, Rome etc.) This saves a lot of time and hassle.
Super clean and efficient. The little town has every comodity and if you feel like the country cuisine or walk around the quaint village then Vinci is 10 minutes away!!

It took us a while to find the hotel, but the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We were able to get to our room immediately after checking in.

That hotel is excellent! We were very impressed and happy with the room. It is clean and very very nice and pretty. Right next door, there is a grocery store, very convinient.

This hotel was a lovely hotel, very happy with our stay. The only suggestion is (and this is for all hotels in Europe) is when they advise that breakfast is supplied they should advise what. We asked for eggs and we got them but had to pay an additional 8Euros each. It would have been nice to know if this was included.

the hotel itself was excellent. however, perhaps it was my fault but i assumed the hotel was actually in the village of vinci, which is where i wanted to be, and not 5 miles away on the other side of an industrial estate ! i think this should be made clearer on their website.

Travelling to Florence (Firenze)by public traffic is less easy and frequently as suggested on the website. There is a regular schedule by train but local bus to the station is less frequent especially in the weekends.

The first time it was not very easy to reach the hotel coming from Florence, mostly because the road signaling was poor.

Da Vinci is a new hotel located in the commercial town of Empoli, not far from Florence.
The location is ideal if you are exploring Tuscany by car. It has a private parking and you can get to most of interesting places in less than an hour. I would not recommend the place if you are not by car.
The rooms are spacious enough, tastefully decorated, modern, and clean. They also are luminous, have a good insulation, and are provided with some high tech appliances like lcd-tv (for internet you have to pay an extra, though). Bathroom is more than ok.
Breakfast buffet is not huge but is fair. The only thing you miss in summer is a swimming-pool.
The reservation through Tuscany.net worked well. The price of the offer was nice and we paid as quoted. It was a very good value for money.

In the directions give distances from bridge, traffic circle. Based on how I read it, I thought it would be soon after the exit. I got confused. Fortunately I saw the hotel sign.

I enjoyed the hotel very much.
However my wife had a few comments.
1. Lighting in the bathroom sink area was very bad for putting on makeup etc.
2. Shower head was so high she could not
reach it to adjust it. She didn't want to wash her hair daily and found this hard not to do given the location of the shower head.
3. The exercise room was a disappointment. It was a closet and was under construction.

La habitación es correcta. El buffet desayuno es pobre.

Es un hotel perfecto para visitar la Toscana, las principales ciudades a visitar (Florencia, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, ...) están en un radio máximo de hora y media en coche. La relación calidad-precio es excelente los fines de semana pero el precio es un poco elevado para los dias laborables. El desayuno-buffet es pobre para el precio a pagar (7,50€). Recomiendo desayunar en algún bar cercano. No hay ningún problema para aparcar, el hotel tiene garage cubierto (que no utilizamos) y párking al aire libre gratuito. Nuestra habitación era de categoría superior (con jacuzzi)pero para ducharse había unas mamparas plegables que hacían que la ducha quedará estrecha. La televisión es TFT pero pequeña. Los alrededores del hotel no tiene nada interesante. En resumen, es un hotel perfecto para ir a descansar después de una jornada de 'trabajo'.

It was a non-smoking room, but a significant amount of smoke from other rooms came into mine. The noise from the neighboring grocery store was disturbing, as it started at 6a.m. every morning.

The rooms are clean and contemporary, but the hotel is starting to show its age. The lobby furnishings and hallway carpeting is quite dirty. Smells from other rooms (such as cigarette smoke) enter your room freely.
