The three of us travelled with 3 very large cases and were helped with them immediately.

It was without doubt far more beautiful than expected, the view from our windows were just wonderful. Extra pillows etc available immediatley upon request. Internet access also available incomfortable surroundings. I travelled with my two teenage sons and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Although quiet in the winter it is arguably more beautiful than in the busy summer. Make the effort to climb the bell tower for some of the most glorious views of the area.

The view as previously stated was exceptional over the valley. The room was as tired as the staff appeared -no warmth or friendliness was shown at any stage of our stay and when a menu was requested it all seemed too much trouble.
The position and view could not be beaten its a shame the staff let this hotel down.

The shuttle bus to the parking lot was extremely prompt and very helpful.

We've stayed before and plan to stay again. Next time we are bringing our daughter and her family. We had planned to go motoring during our stay but the accomodations are so wonderful, we just stayed on the balcony and enjoyed ourselves there. Thanks again for a wonderful time.

It was like a little oasis! As for our staying being in July and temperatures soaring our little hotel did feel like a very welcoming oasis. Very tastefuly decorated with an airconditioner that worked & could cool us down. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful and the view from the dinig hall spectacular. Definately to be highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!

Had trouble finding parking lot #1 and had to call the hotel for direction. Probably missed the instructions due to being tired.

Very helpfull. We had received a parking ticket and the girl (Sorry, I don't have her name at this time) at the desk offered to take the ticket in for us. We gave her the money and certainly do appreciate the help.

Dear Sirs,
We stayed last week in your lovely hotel and would like to recognize the very good service we received from the entire staff of the reception, with a special mention of the lovely young mother with her son Ephraim and the lovely Argentine lady. They were very polite and extreemely helpful and all are a superb visiting card for your hotel.
The restaurant personnel was also very courtious and especially the dinner-staff and their Maitre D' were outstanding.
We delighted in the quality of the food. Chapeau for the chef and his staff.
Our room #9 was good, clean and quite acceptable.
Overall we would like to give your hotel 4 stars! Thanks to everybody for a superb stay in San Gimignano and Toscane!!. We'll be back

The hotel was one of our favorite in Tuscany - our room was great - very spacious with an incredible view. The receptionist could have been a little friendlier but overall we loved the hotel and will definitely recommend it to others.

Cannot really remember the website very well. Used it only to book accommodation as other guests were already staying there.

Its location is fabulous - being within the town walls creates a buzz during the day but an almost magical atmosphere at night.
The other almost priceless aspect is the view that greets you opening your shutters. All of us found the view from our windows and the terrace breath-taking.
The meal we were served after the wedding was actually even better than the other restaurants we dined in in the town.

Very convenient location but you will need to pay extra for a garage if you have a car. Also pay extra for a room with a view of the countryside which is fabulous.

The Hotel Bel Soggiorno is a great choice if one wants to be within the city walls. We appreciated its excellent location, our small but pleasant room with a lovely view, the sunny breakfast room, and the very helpful staff. We would definitely return.

Very helpful at check-in -- arranged for parking for us. Let us borrow their 'dolly' -- for bringing out suitcases up the pedistrian only walkway. Quick check in -- friendly -- wonderful!

What a wonderful experience. Swimming at their country/sister property is like getting the best of both worlds -- access to the countryside and accommodations in the town. We would definitely go back and stay at Hotel Bel Soggiorno.

Incredible hotel -- if you're looking for a great place to stay in San Gimignano, we would recommend Hotel Bel Soggiorno. The breakfast view alone is one of the most beautiful settings in the world. As an added bonus, their country property (4 KM out of town) gives you the option of swimming in a scenic paradise location. Highly, highly encourage you to stay here. You won't be disappointed.
Oh, and it has a great air-conditioner!! :-)

I don't remember seeing directions. We were a little confused about how to get to the hotel and park but it worked out fine.

Shared a balcony with other rooms and without any security on the outside door except completely closing and locking it, preventing you from sleeping with any fresh air access to the room. The view from the balcony was spectacular though. Hair dryer would have been nice as well.

If you are driving I would recommend dropping your bags at the hotel...just inside the entrance to the walled part of San Gimignano and then park down the hill in P1 for 5 EUR a day. It is a 10 minute walk back.

The room was of good quality with the description on the website being accurate. I stayed there during a long weekend. If it is less busy you may be able to get a room with a view...the view from the dining room is stunning. San Gimignano is lovely and the hotel is adjacent to everything.

Coming into S.G. is confusing and finding parking is difficult. The blessing about this hotel is that when you walk through the main gate it is right there and the stress of trying to find the parking area is relieved.

We were in Italy 2 weeks. This hotel had the best breakfast offering. They include hard boiled eggs, real juice, variety of fresh fruit and water.

If you arrive at night and plan to spend one day in S.G.-do not stay the night before market day (Wed.) The markets fill the squares and you can't see the towers or the well in the center of the square. There were so many people there from 8:00 on.

My problem was in regard to the shuttle and driver. Upon arrival at the parking lot in the dark, there were no directions as to how to find the shuttle bus and driver. The driver was sitting in the vehicle and made no attempt to ask if I was looking for him, etc. I had to go to him and ask if he was the shuttle driver. Then, as three senior women hauled their bags to the vehicle, he made no attempt to assist us. I understand assisting is probably not in his job description, but there would have been a tip had he helped and been pleasant.

I found rooms in general in Italy were on the expensive side. For what the rooms cost throughout Italy, I would expect much more.

The room, though like the one on the web was very, very cold--quite unfortunate. Otherwise, our experience was good. I believe that the rate of the room was quite a bit higher than should be expected.

The hotel was well-located and the restaurant attached was delightful--one of the best meals that we had on our trip. However, the room leaves a lot to be desired. We were there during a snow, and our room was FREEZING. It seems quite exorbitant to me to charge so much for such a spare room.

Because of its situation, inside a traffic free walled town, Bel Soggiorno is a difficult place to get to with bags and might not be suitable for everyone. We were told we could park, take in bags and then place the car in a car park. This was not so. We tried to stop the car near the walls but a warden was very stroppy and said we couldn't stop even for two minutes to unload the bags, wheel them to the hotel and then park the car. We drove around until she had gone and then did it.

We asked for a quiet room but the city side room was extremely noisy from the street below. It was a huge room but the furniture and furnishings were very basic. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom fan was very noisy and not very efficient and it was difficult to avoid soaking the floor with the shower. The walls are extremely thin so even ordinary conversation in the next room can be clearly heard. With more investment it could be a really fantastic hotel as the position inside the city walls is superb.

Very conveniently situated hotel for wandering around San Gimignano but difficult for arrival and departure as bags must be trollied to the car park. The nearest car park costs 15 Euro for 24 hours. Ask for a room on the country side of the hotel if you want peace and quiet.

On booking we requested a room overlooking the Tuscan hills, therefore we arrived expecting this. We spent one night overlooking the road and then they upgraded us for two nights overlooking the hills.
