There was a lack of communication about the restaurant, pool facilities, pool bar, etc. The staff did not mention the very short drive to the Fontina Bar just across the highway that was excellent for pizza and beer.

The grounds and accommodations were spectacular. We wished that we knew or could find out the history of Borgo and the village. Information was not readily available. The restaurant was stunning - great food and staff.

We were uncertain when booking this property because we could find out little information - no reviews anywhere. It surpassed all expectations. It was a perfect location to plan day trips around Tuscany - we even stayed an extra night!

Quaint old village - with beautifully decorated rooms in a wonderfully tranquil setting in the country - yet all the amenties of any top hotel. Perfect!

The facilities everywhere displayed the exquisite taste of the owner. Our room (and importantly, the bathroom) was spacious & comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

I think the website is very insightful about what is included
...
'You have no choice but to relax - the view from everywhere is so peaceful and quiet. You need a car - have to drive everywhere, but that was expected. And everyone was so very, very nice!'

Would have been nicer to have a better variety of food. Lunch menu and dinner menu the same. Only one restaurent opened which did not make much varitey for a 6 day stay.

Everything was very beautiful, clean and well cared for. The only 'downside' was the quality of breakfasts which we thought were sub-standard for a 5 star hotel. I would have expected wider choices and much more fresh fruit, such as melon, pineapple and cherries, rather than a few oranges and tinned apricots and prunes!! I also beleive that the steepness of the slopes within the hotel and the problems which this could cause to those with difficulty in such areas, should be highlighted somewhere

As above - difficult for disabled + those with difficulties on hills

place seemed deserted and we found quite unnerving.
there was no information about the facilities available all though as it turned out these were limited anyway.still not sure if there was any room service available.

we were extremeley disaapointed with our stay.the place was new,very beautiful and picturesque however the place was virtually deserted and devoid of any atmosphere. the main bar was never open though reception would find someone if we wanted a drink.the pool bar was shut. the resturant had a very limited menu though quality was good. there was no where to get a snack.
we checked out 2 days early.

we left early so staff were surprised but they were very helpful in helping us find accomodation elsewhere

i would only recommend this place if you wanted to escape from all human contact!!
none of the rooms had balconies which i think is essential in this type of hotel. the rooms were beautifully furnished and clean but quite dark and oppresive without the ability to open doors and step onto balcony to read a book,have a drink or just admire the scenery.

Huge potential but give it a few years by which time they may have deveoped some atmosphere!!
