By car
It can be reached from Florence (20 Km.) and Arezzo (20Km.) From Highway A1 exit Valdarno (about 8 kilometers), follow the signs to San Giovanni Valdarno and then to S. Barbara. At S. Barbara turn right to Meleto.
From Siena: can be reached along the road Chiantigiana, famous for its scenery and famous vineyards of Chianti. It crosses the village of Gaiole in Chianti to Cavriglia.
From here you stray to the Castelnuovo Sabbioni and then Meleto.
By train
The most important railway stations are:
to Figline (055.951911), S. Giovanni Valdarno (tel. 055/9122208) and Montevarchi (tel. 055/980257). All are placed in a central position and are connected to other towns and villages through the main bus line.
By airplane
The nearest airport is at Peretola of Florence.
From here you can reach the railway station in Florence or the A1 Bologna Roma entering the exit Firenze Nord towards Rome. | | |
