Our host was absolutely extraoridary. I loved the room and the cool atmosphere it provided. I would highly recommend this residence to anyone looking to stay in Rome. The collection of books and Italian DVD's was a nice extra. The roof terrace should be mentioned more on the website. What a treat!! I do believe that 80 Euro might be a bit high compared to my other residences on the trip. 70 Euro seemed a bit more reasonable. All in all, a fabulous accomodation.

My favorite place to stay on my tour of Rome. The room was a perfect rest from the energy of the city. It was nice having a young host.

Our host agreed to pick us up at the airport. He was prompt and easy to identify amongst the crowd. This was greatly appreciated after a long flight with children.

David met us at the airport and drove us back to the accommodation. He took us by a scenic route and explained what everything was. He took us for a drink at a brilliant bar overlooking the Colosseum. Wonderful experience - could not have been better.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation, the owner could not have been friendlier or more helpful. His advice saved us hours of queuing at the Vatican. The location was ideal, and the room was so beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. I could not recommend this accommodation highly enough. Thanks so much David.

David and Roberta were very sweet and went out of their way to accomodate us more than once.

Solo Roma is definitely the way to go if you're staying in Rome and on a budget. It's essential to stay near the heart of the city if you plan to do sighseeing, and Solo Roma is across the street from the Vatican. Our experience was wonderful and we'd never think twice about staying there again. Plus, there's a GREAT gelato place just next door!

Very personal. The owner provided useful information when we needed it and was always helpful. The breakfast was great, and we liked being able to prepare it whenever we wanted to.

David made my daughter and myself very welcome, it was a relaxed and easy stay for us. Like staying with a friend. His place was comfortable and suited us both.

Solo Roma was like staying in a freind's place. The host provided food which was self service and we hardly saw him but had everything we needed. He provided a contact number if there were any issues which there werent. I was able to make cups of tea and use the kitchen as well. We weren't looking for a place with a sitting room and TV as we were out most of the time. It was also close to a tuber station and had nice coffee shops around, plus a very good ice cream shop!

The directions were mostly clear until the last few steps. We missed the street the B&B sits on and had to backtrack, and it took us a while to figure out where the call button for Sola Roma was on the building.
We enjoyed our stay at Sola Roma and in Rome. Great breakfast, and we appreciated the recommendation to a good, local (non-touristy) restaurant for dinner; it was delicious!

Though the single was slightly small, it was exactly what I needed; a private room, a bed, shelving space, and a nice bathroom.

Except that the bathroom and the kitchen were not very clean... but still it was ok...

Very well placed close to every kind of transport, the room was big enough, though it was not as clean as I expected but still was ok. The Receptionnist has been nice and the stay was pleasant.

It was very hard to find the place according to the direction given online, it's totally inaccurate, seems like whoever made up the direction has some problem with English language. Also there was no sign outside the building for us to look for.

SoloRoma has only one bedroom for guest, we felt like the owner's flatmate during the 4 days. Also we asked for non-smoking room, but the owner smoked all the time, even with the windows open, we could smell the smoke throughout the apartment. On our last night, the owner decided to watch DVD in the kitchen very loudly at 11pm.

The owner was in bed when we left, nobody checked out for us, we had to pay the night before our departure.

There's only one room for the B&B, it's really strange, if we had known that, we wouldn't have booked this place. We had to make our own breakfast with the material he supplied, we thought B&B service included the breakfast service. Perhaps these info should be stated on the website.

Strange owner, strange place. Hotels are probably better choices for Rome.
