We had requested a junior suite with a double bed, which you confirmed, but the room turned out to have two single beds, and there was no way of changing this

Our plane was a little early so we also arrived a little bit too early (somewhere around 9:30) Our room wasn't ready yet but we got it before the normal checking time though. We appreciated.

We must say that the sound isolation between rooms was a little bit below what one could expect in newly built hotels, but in such old houses, one must admit it was a very plaisant stay. Indeed.

this is the 1st vacation we have taken where the hotel bill was exactly as stated. in the u.s., hotel bills typically have additional costs, i.e. room tax, local tax, fees, etc. that can add 10-20% on top of the anticipated bill. this was a pleasure to see a bill at check out which reflected exactly as stated.

If ever we visit Rome again, we most certainly will stay in the Hotel Sole al Pantheon again.
It was a very enjoyable stay.

The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. My room had a wonderful view of the Pantheon, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

This hotel was quaint, with old-country charm and the perfect location. The interior was very nicely renovated with plenty of amenities and a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff was so very helpful and made my stay even more pleasant.

We had in correspondance prior our arrival, agreed on a room with a view to th Pantheon.
However, this mistake was quickly rectified.

We had no previous experience with this hotel. The room was smaller than expected at this price, but believe you have to pay extra for the location. The view to the Pantheon was beautiful, but the noice level at times on the high side. But then again you are almost at the table of the nearest restaurant.

A friendly atmosphere and a breakfast buffet that really gets you ready for long day of walking.

Very nice, though maybe in need of some
refurbishing, given the price. Coasting on
its reputation as the oldest hotel in Rome,
and on its location. If you stay there,
make sure you want to be surrounded by
hubbub, much of it generated by non-Romans.
The Piazza Della Rotunda is one of the
world's great public spaces, and the world
has found this out.

The concierge was exceptionally friendly, stating that he particularly liked Irish people and made us feel very welcome.

The room was immaculately clean, and had all the facilities advertised on the website, but it was very small and the insertion of the new bathroom had the effect of blocking all the light from the window. As a result the room was exceptionally dark, and needed artificial light at all times. Moreover, the furnishings were all in very darak colours, adding to the gloomy atmosphere. As well as this, the halls and landings echoed very loudly as people came and went to their rooms. The sound of a key in the door of the next door room was deafening, and the footsteps overhead were inclined to wake us up.

We were told the room was not yet ready, so
an alternative room was given to us. Although
it had a nice view of the Pantheon, one has to
wonder what the other room was like?

The receptionist was not very friendly. However, the bellboy was very helpful and friendly upon our arrival.

Upon our arrival we discovered that our suite did not have hot water. That evening we were told that the problem was fixed. However, the next day we still did not have hot water. The receptionist to whom we complained was not very helpful. He finally offered us other accommodations which were not at all suitable (we were three adults). So we had a second night without hot water. The next day we were planning to check out when, fortunately, another receptionist, Vittorio, came on duty. He immediately came to our suite (which the first receptionist never bothered to do) to check the water and agreed that it was not hot. He offered us alternative accommodations which were better than what we originally had. So after much wasted time on our part (waiting for staff that didn't show up, trying to convince them that the water was tepid, etc.) what started out to be a disastrous experience at the hotel turned out happily. Apart from the first receptionist, the other staff we encountered were fine. Vittorio, as noted, was extremely competent, professional, and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. Also, we were pleased to have free internet access.

Great location. Walking distance to several places of interest. The rooms on the piazza enjoyed stunning views of the Pantheon as well as the excitement of looking down at the lively crowds below. They were, however, noisy.

Fabulous location but ask for a quiet room rather than a pleasant view if noise bothers you ( although the square is quiet from about 11.30pm ). Excellent small hotel with a history and interesting rooms creating good atmosphere
