The people were wonderful. They grabbed our bags, took only a few minutes to check in, we arrived early, but they had cleaned our rooms and we were able to be in them within 30 minutes of arrival.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff were excellent and gave us very good tips about restaurants and directions.

We will definitely stay at the Mecenate Palace again. The location is perfect, the breakfast was beyond expectations and the view from the rooftop terrace spectacular! We loved it!

When I first saw the hotel advertised on internet the double rooms were priced at 130 euros on a website especially for hotel bookings, but we ended up paying 200 per night for a deluxe room, which was not requested but was well worth it!We were not asked if this was OK it was just billed to us, however.

I have already recommended it to friends and have said that the room decor and comfort, the staff, the catering facilities and location are all ideal for a wonderful stay in Rome!

We found the bed to be very, very hard. We like a firm mattress but this bed was too hard.

Our room faced the Basilica, a magificent view enjoyed by first timers to Rome.
The breakfasts on the terrace were enjoyable and the wait staff very accomodating.

Felt very pleased with our choice of hotel all resturants recomended were way above our expectations in quality, and price's. all within easy walking distance and back to the hotel bar for a quiet nightcap while planning the next day's outings.Rooms were kept beautifully clean with daily towel changes and staff exeptionaly helpful and friendly in fact we plan to return and would reccomend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Rome with all the sights within easy walking distance and the benifit of an eating house nearly next door for coffe and snacks.

Very easy let us leave luggage in safe storage until the car which the hotel organised on our request came to fetch us to go to the airport didn't have to be out of our rooms until 12 noon

Absolutely supberb very clean hotel.For the buffet breakfast you could eat as much as you liked and teas and coffee replenished as many times as you liked. Staff all spoke very good English and were on the ball.
Felt safe and secluded in the hotel always someone on reception . Telephone calls out were reasonably priced couldnt fault the hotel at all.

Internet was a little difficult to use as the page was too large for the screen. We had to maneuver it around to get AOL to work.

Great bathroom... full-sized marble tub and shower, double vanity...

They gave you fluffy robes and slippers...
I forgot my camera memorycard in the safe and I called from the airport after we left the hotel. They found my card and mailed it to me in the United States. I really appreciated their honesty and their helpfulness.

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Convenient to the termini station. I would definitely stay there again.

The distance to Rome Fiumicino airport that is noted on the website has to be incorrect.

A great value and lovely hotel - the staff was very accomodating when we arrived earlier than our check-in time and in fact upgraded us to a better room that was ready. Great central location. The view from our room of The Church of Santa Maria Maggiore was priceless.

Were allowed to check in and go to our room earlier than expected.

Reception were most unhelpful about providing information about airport transfers after we had checked out. Were quite offhand to some other guests who had a query at the same time.

My reqyest to the receptionist to keep our laggage for two nights during our nearby short trip was refuzed. At other hotels they are willing to keep guests' laggage. It was an unpleasant immpression.
