Manager gave us directions to sights buss routes etc. He made our days easy to organise after that.

We found it inmeddatly..!!just 5 min from metro if you come from the airpport you can get metro for just 1 euro

We stayed 3 nights and it was great..The people of the guesthouse where very nice..
We had al lot of privacy..and the kitchen was good where we could get all the free food or preperare our self a nice cup of thee..or have a glas of whine..!
There are some nice restaurant in the neighbourhood.. Also downstairs..
The rooms and bathroom are clean,modern,cosy,just perfect!!
I would advise everybody to stay here exept old people(because of the stairs elevator not working)..
So really good location 5 min colloseum and 5 min metro...where you can go to rome everywhere for 1 euro..

WOuld have been useful to have walking directions from the Metro station. Like, which exit to take at the Metro (there are 3 options if I can remember), when you take the right exit (the one beside the Big Department Store), take a left and walk up to the Michelanglo in Laterano Basilica. Cross over at the crossing and take a left for 50 yards, turn right and the apartment is above the Hosteria restaurant.

Frankly, it was our luck that we were met by Laura, possibly owner's wife. But sometimes people have to call to the owner, the number is written on the door.

This B&B is located on 2 floors - 2nd and 4nd. My opinion is that 2nd floor (where we lived) is much better than 4nd. It is recently renovated, NEW and QUIET! If you live on the 4nd floor then you become a witness of all arrivals and departures of all holidaymakers, all movements to the kitchen and to the internet point, etc. So if we decide to visit HH again then we will try to arrange a room only on a 2nd floor with amazing view on a square!

After one evening in a small room for four
people, (size not untypical for a quadruple
room in Italy) we were pleasantly surprised
to be upgraded to a two room unit, very
generous since I had reserved the more
economical unit! We loved the location of
the B&B- in a nice neighborhood for
strolling at night and only a 15 minute walk
to the Colossuem !!
There was a bakery downstairs and a very
nice Italian resturant just a few steps
away. A very good Italian/Pizza place with
good prices on the way to the Colossuem
too!! Damian, the owner/manager was very
helpful - going above and beyond to make
sure that we had all we needed, and was easy
to reach by e-mail if needed. (He does not
stay on site). The train station is within
walking distance if you are in reasonable
shape. We did it with two young teens with
no problems (once we figured out where it
was!). We would stay at Happy Holiday again
without hesitation.

This was a great little find at a very
affordable price. I styaed in the quad room
with three other friends. The room was
spacious and the breakfast bar which was
available at all times was well stocked and
delicious. My only complaint was perhaps in
the quality of the mattress, a bit old and
lumpy, but for 20 euro a night, you can't have
everything.

Happy Holiday is the perfect place to stay if you love good quality, friendly and well priced accommodation in Rome. It was close to most of the major sites and the people including Damiano the manager, his partner, Fillipo and Oxana are truly lovely people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The only downside is sharing the bathroom but for the rice you can't go wrong. The room we stayed in was fabulous.

We would like to thank Damiano and Laura for the nice stay we had in Rome!
Having booked the room at BB Happy Holidays with almost 2 month in advance, it was a very bad surprised for us to arrive at the BB at 10pm, and received the news that they had a over-booking problem and we would have to be replaced in another hotel. Being in such a touristical city, and us, knowing about all the possible tricks used to take advantage of tourists, we were very suspicious about this information, and about all these changes!
But, as professionals, they took as to another hotel (a 3 star hotel in the same area) where they had already made a reservation for us and paid the price difference of the 2 night stay.
Although this hotel had been very comfortable and elegant, after the 2 nights we were happy to go to the BB Happy Holidays, end to enjoy there the last day in Rome!
To Laura and Damiano, thank you very much!! It has been a very good and pleasant stay in Rome!

Happy Holidays was great. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful with directions around Rome. We (a group of five) stayed in the accomodations pictured on this, and the B&B's website, and they were exactly as pictured. This B&B was comfortable, and extremely clean. There was good air conditioning in the room we stayed. There was also a computer and wifi available on the fourth floor (the owner, Damiano, assured me that they were working to make the wifi available on all floors). I could not recomend this property more highly.

Private ensuites to each room with shared living room and kitchenette. Located within close proximity to the main metro line and major bus routes and 10mins walk from ancient Rome. We had booked two induvidial rooms, but got
presented with two adjoining rooms (so we
would have to walk through one room to get to
another room). We got some other rooms, but
some of us had to switch rooms again after one
night.

The included breakfast was not anything to
write home about, and some days it was missing
- there was no bread etc. The kitchen is very
small considered it should possible be able to
accomodate eight people. There were only four
chairs.
One bath and one toilet between eight people
is also on the short side.

There is a shared computer in the aparatment
which is good. But it is also shared with a
hostel downstairs, which is bad, since all
kinds of people you do not know visit the
apartment at some times very weird hours.

My husband and I have just spent a memorable weekend in the Bed and Breakfast Happy Holiday in Rome, Italy We were welcomed by very attentive and friendly staff and shown to our room. The Bed&Breakfastl is central for visiting all the many places of interest in Rome. We spent saturday afternoon at the Colosseum, just a few minutes from thebed and breakfast. On sunday we took a taxi to St Peters Square (10 euros) and visited the Basilica of San peter and then with our trusty map we walked back via the Pantheon and the Piaza Navona.Excellent breakfast self service and the rooms are very clean.

The host was kinder than I expected, he did everything to make sure we are comfortable. He not only made us feel welcome but responded promptly to all our requests. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Rome on a budget. I should mention too that the location is very ideal. It is walking distance to the metro and bus stops.

When we arrived our room was being cleaned (we were earlier than expected because of our flight) the staff made us feel so welcome while we waited for our room, they talked to us about Rome and offered us food and drink.

This affordable, spacious, clean B&B is run by Damiano and Laura, two warm and welcoming Romans. Upon check in, they showed us around, and we basically had the run of the place (it was January!). They made the self-catering breakfast kitchen open to us, and told us to help ourselves to the breakfast makings (pastries, juice, yougurt, coffee, tea, etc.) at any time we wanted.
True to its description, it is indeed located a short walk from the Coliseum and a shorter walk to the Metro and buses all over the city. San Giovanni in Laterano is a busy gateway to the city, so it was a little bit loud, but the internal and external shutters helped dampen the traffic noise.
We ate at a nearby restaurant specializing in seafood, La Virtu in Tavola, where we had a wonderful meal and were well taken care of by the friendly staff. And then we just walked the short block back to our B&B.
Damiano and Laura's warm reception and lovely, affordable B&B helped make this weekend in Rome memorable. I recommend it and would stay there again.

Damiano and Laura were the most accomodating and amazing people i have ever met! The place was emaculate and there was always plenty of food and drinks for everyone. The bathrooms were always clean. I would recommend this place to anyone and wont stay anywhere else if i go back to rome.

Our voucher said there was A/C included in our price but this was not being placed until the day we were leaving. Damiano did supply enough fans for everyone to keep us cool in the heat though so i have absolutely no complaints about it.

The kitchen supplies absolutely everything you need for cooking so you can save money by making your own meals. The kitchen has a nice balcony you can sit on and enjoy the real side of Rome. There was a free computer for everyone to use which i have not seen offered anywhere else. Also, this place is literally a 10 minute walk to the Coloseum!

The cleanest and very European look with beautiful carvings on every ceiling, high ceilings, large windown with teh original shutters. The place had a great kitchen with every dish, pot, etc needed and food left out for your desire. The owner even supplies bathroom necessities and towels. You dont need to bring much of anything during your stay. We all agreed in all the hotels we stayed at in Italy, this was the best.

It took us a little bit to find the place, but then again, we hadn't called for directions, so it was our own fault. However, when we found it we were delighted. The owner was there to greet us and explain things to us. She was wonderful.

We loved Happy Holidays. The owner was great and took such great care of us. We were close to the Metro and the Forum and there were several cheap, but wonderful restaurants near the hotel. We were there for 4 nights and loved our stay.

It's a great environment for meeting people.
There's a small kitchenette if you want to make food while you are there.
It's like a 3 bedroom apartment that individuals from around the world share for a few days. It was great :)

If you are comfortable with sharing a bathroom with someone you don't know, by all means STAY THERE. It's wonderful.

Happy Holiday was convienently located and the staff were extremely helpful. We were there in the middle of summer so it was a bit hot as there was no airconditioning. The kitchen was well stocked and the facilities very clean. I would recommend this accommodation and stay there again myself.

Very cute and comfy, although I didn't really like sharing a bathroom. But for the price is was worth it. The location is good too, walking distance to subways. It was a bit difficult to find though initially, we had to take a cab from Termini.

You should provide in your direction that there is no any hotel signs at the bilding exept common entrence doors' ring button. You also should provide with information that there is no receptionist on duty 24/7 and gests must e-mail to get somebody available at the time of arrival.

The website said there was air conditioning but there was only a rotating fan. It was extremely hot outside and our room was very humid and stuffy.

The owners of Happy Holiday are very very helpful and nice. They made sure to check in on us and find out if everything was ok. The room was a bit small but it was well decorated and probably the cleanest hotel I stayed at during my two months of traveling in Europe. The all day breakfast and kitchen was a big plus for us. Another asset is the location. The metro stop is right around the corner from the hotel and the Colosseum is only a 10 minute walk.

The directions from the train station could be a bit more clear. Everything up until I exited the metro station was very clear but after that they were quite vague, not mentioning the large intersection and numerous options of roads. I had to ask a policeman for directions.

I would say that it was very clean and basic. The breakfast wasn't very much (just snack cakes really) but a great location and everything went smoothly.

the property was better to some extent and worse to the other - it was very noisy, as we got the room facing the square and there was only one bathroom available for all three rooms - but otherwise the staff was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay

It has a perfect location, close to most of the attractions, it is a good value for money, you feel like at home because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

We followed the directions without having a map and after a few twists and turns we found the place. There was no-one too welcome us simply because we didn't know when we would arrive. Damiano came as soon as we called and was very helpful.

Truthfully we didn't expect much since the price was very good. But the location was exellent and we got two adjoining rooms - a very good family room and the rooms were spacious and clean. Since we were on a different floor than the kitchen we got a voucher for coffee and croissants at a small caffé nearby. That was acctually very nice. The only downside was that master bed was uncomfortable since the mattress was flat in the middle :-) but that has probably been fixed by now.

Since our flight was very late on the check out day we were allowed to have the room until one o´clock instead of eleven. And they let us keep the bags until that evening. Damiano also arranged for a shuttle and that was very comfortable and safe (hard to find a taxi that would take 5 people in Rome). The price was much better than a regular taxi and it came and left right on time. Thank you for everything Damiano!

Just that the building is not marked with a big sign, acctually it's very small and may be hard too see. Also - there are two stairways - B is the right one.

It's a good location and one can easily walk down to the Colloseum, and all the Roman ruins and beutiful monuments in that area. There is a bus stop close by from where one can reach most places of interest. The rooms are spacious and clean and one can not hear any traffic sounds. A good value for money.

Happy Holiday was a great surprise. We arrived there one day before and with an additional guest and the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. He got a room for us in the same building, with a third bed for the same price agreeded online. The other day we went to Crazy Holiday, another Bed and Breakfast nearby but of the same company as Happy Holiday. He called a taxi for us and payed for it. The place was nice, clean, great breakfast. You can do the laundry and iron your clothes. When was time to leave he even gently gave us 10 euros back, as a discount. The place is a walking distance to the Coliseum and Roman Foro, has busstop infront and metro 100m away. Great place. I would stay there again and I sure recommend it to everyone.

When we arrived, there was nobody that opened the dorr at first. But as there was a telephone number written on the door, we could phone them, and they arrived in the next 10 minutes to open us the door, give us some explanations and the keys. The welcome was very polite. We had right a way a good impression of the B&B!

If you are looking for a safe, affordable
place to stay in Rome, I would stay at the
Happy Holiday. The location near St. John's
is preferable to the train station area, I
think. Our room was contemporary with a
beautiful view out to the obelisk outside St.
John's in Lateran church. The host was
incredibly nice and accommodating. The hotel
arranged for an inexpensive taxi service for
the trip to the airport, which was very
helpful. The only downside, which might
dictate me not staying there again (in the
summer at least), was that the website
advertised air-conditioning. The stand-up
machines in the room definitely did not
provide cool air. Our sleep was not that
restful in actuality as we had to get up
several times to splash water on ourselves.
Overall, I did rate it a 'good value'
however. I liked the host, the location, and
the room.
