We had stayed in hotel Commodore before and it was the same pleasant experience as it was before.

The room was clean and nice quiet, not very spacious, bathroom a little bit small (not enough space for the towels), the beds of perfect quality, the breakfast very good and the staff of the hotel very helpful and polite. Overall, it is a very nice hotel.

We would highly recommend the hotel Commodore as it is situated very well towards the Termini Station, the busstation at Termini, the metro stations of Termini and of Piazza Republica. Thus the hotel is a very good starting point for exploring all parts of Rome. Besides the hotel and its personnel are very agreeable and make you feel at home.

We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay at Hotel Commodore. I would certainly reccomend Hotel Commodore to my friends as it was reccomended to me.

This is the 2nd time I have been to the Hotel Commodore - I came back a 2nd time for good reasons:
1. Proximity to the train station and metro.
2. Allows smoking. Too many hotels are forgetting that there are still alot of smokers in this world.
3. Good, hard beds.
4. Nice breakfast.
5. Very friendly and helpful staff.

on the day of strike of busses ans train (in the morning of 8 October), our communication of one staff member in English was difficult and he sounded even unkind. We waited for 2 hours for a taxi. Some kind of advice (to wait for a taxi or forget about it) could have been clearly indicated to us while waiting for two hours for a taxi. We find that this staff seems to be able to communicate much better in German than in English. I joked with my wife (who speaks German) saying that you should talk to him only in German next time). This is the only unpleasant experience we had at Commodore Hotel and other staff members were friendly and helpful.

While I got the accommodation agreed,it was not up to the standard as portrayed in the photos.

While no real complaints, I felt that calling it a 4 star was overating the facilities. Small old style bathroom, shower unit had to be held in hand.
