Very friendly receptionist who immediately informed me about bus tickets, bus lines and other more or less important things regarding Rome. ... A very nice hotel where you get the feeling being a special and important guest. ... A perfect place to stay! Specially if you will arrive Rome by train.

We arrived much later than expected as our outbound flight was somewhat delayed however even although it was after 1am the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends. ... the hotel is much nicer than on the website and I feel it doesn't do itself justice. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. Throughout our stay the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. ... The receptionist gave us very good advice about getting to the airport as we left during Roman rush hour and he advised us how to get to the airport with the minimum delay. ... Emphasise the cleanliness. I could've eaten my dinner off the floors! And the location was fantastic-walking distance to all main attractions and right next to all transport systems within the city. ... Central, very welcoming, exceptionally clean and very friendly. A treasure.

Great hotel: friendly staff who were always helpful and courteous.
The only thing I'd say is that some fresh bread at breakfast would have been welcome.
When we return to Rome we shall stay there again. ... Just the freah bread at breakfast,. Otherwiese we are very happy with everything at the Hotel Argentina ... Great help: stored our luggage until late afternoon and organized a limo. to take us to the airport/ That service was greatly appreciated. ... Tell them about the staff: Outstanding ... Definetly go there

Very welcoming and cheerfull. Hotel in a good position for quick access. ... Our flight was not until late evening and it was not a problem to leave our luggage at the hotel to collect later. A great service. ... It was very clean with fresh towels every day. Very central to all you want to see in Rome. We walked everywhere but bus train and metro just at the corner. People were very friendly and helpful. Good english spoken so directions were easy to follow. Plenty to eat for breakfast and good places to eat nearby in the surrounding streets. I would recommend this hotel to friends

We arrived early in the morning and our room was not ready yet, We were able to leave our bags in the foyer and we went off to see the sights. When we returned after lunch our room was then ready. ... We enjoyed our stay, thank goodness for the tiny lift as Hotel Argentina is on the 4th floor! ... It was very quick and easy,No problems or suprises at all. ... I can'y remember if you say that it is on the 4th floor or not. There is a tiny lift but it can only accomodate 2 people at a time. Or one person and a stroller as was our case. ... A great low cost hotel in a great location in Rome. Great for couples as the rooms are pretty small. It was one of the few hotels that would allow our 3 yr old to share our room without having to upgrade to a larger room.

Future customers should be notified that this hotel is on the fourth floor and that a very small elevator is the only way to transport luggage to the hotel lobby. ... Hotel Argentina is a very short walking distance to the Roman Forum, shopping areas, resturants, and friendly outdoor cafe's. The hotel beds are very hard and uncomfortable. ... This small hotel has the heart of a giant. It is a short walk to the Roman Forum, resturants, and quaint outdoor cafes. An oasis in the heart of the city. A must stay for people on a budget who can expect big hotel service.

As my stay was a continuation, the hotel staff were more than happy to allow me to remain in my existing room, and only charged me the same rate as for the single - excellent service. ... The hotel is excellent as a base for seeing Rome. It is within a 20min walk to the Colosseum. The rooms were scrupulously clean and tidy, and no extra charge was made for the safe. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Most bedrooms are facing an internal court. Thus the bedrooms are very quiet and silent. And you can sleep pacefully and with open window! Nice

Hotel Argentina is perfectly located on the fantastic Via Carvour. It's just a minute's walk from the Termini train station and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The walk from the hotel to the Colosseum and Roman Fora takes you through a couple of parks and some quaint Italian streets, and it is recommended ahead of taking the metro. Much of the rest of Rome is only a couple of tube stops away.
The room itself was lovely if a little basic. It got quite cold, especially in the February evenings, and the included heater didn't really help - so they supplied us with a fan heater which was nice. The fridge didn't work terribly well either, and the 'double bed' was just two single beds pushed together.
However these minor quibbles didn't detract from our stay; the service was wonderful and the staff were always willing to help. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Argentina for its price.

When we arrived, we felt the person at the desk already knew us.
... The rooms look much bigger and more modern on the website. Nevertheless, our room was clean and adequate. For foreigners, as we were, a list of recommended restaurants / pizzerias would have been of great assistance. However, the staff was helpul recommending places to eat. ... The hotel people were very helpful and friendly. It was a quick and efficient check out. ... Great breakfast atmosphere, fair portions of food. Delicious cappuccinos and expressos.
... It is a 3 star hotel - very simple and clean. We preferred it over a 4 or 5 star hotel because the hotel people knew us. It was a very comfortable atmosphere compared to a big hotel. At a walking distance from the train station and the Colisseum, a definitive plus!

Smooth check in. Room was ready and very clean. ... A very friendly traditional hotel. Room was spacious and the stay was very relaxing. Breakfast was also available for a more generous length of time than usually on offer. ... Very well handled. ... Room was quiet and all facilities offered were available. However, there was no natural light in the bedroom area. This was not a problem to us and we realise that bedrooms on the other side would have been noisy from the traffic on Via Cavour both day and night ... Very good value for money, well run and an excellent base to use whilst out and about enjoying Rome. The location is excellent for seeing ancient Rome at its best and in easy walking distance of most main attractions. Also excellently situated for good value local cuisine - and even close to main supermarket

Very clean and tidy. Room was suitable but the view was unfortunate. The towels are of a low standard. ... see above re towels which is the only real drawback ... I have already recommended it as being clean, very central with some good restaurants about 100 metres away. Great irish bar close b

Room clean and comfortable, staff very pleasant, and the hotel is easy to find. Two points. 1. Airconditioning unit. Seemed to be only working at half speed. We did ask for it to be checked. This caused confusion as Reception staff did not know how it should work. I am not sure if it was fixed. In very hot weather, this will be a problem. I suggest an instruction card in English/French etc.
2. Lighting. Why are ALL the lights so dim! For example brighter bedside lights would make the bedroom seem brighter.

We arrived at 11am and the room was not ready until after 1pm. There was a VERY SMALL toilet in which we changed from our traveling clothes. My great disappointment & concern was there was no LOCKED area to leave our luggage. It sat in the lobby until we were able to check into our room. ... The floor of our room was always dirty. Slippers or socks were a must. The hallway was very noisy so we heard noise all through the night(talking, opening & closing doors). The bathroom fixtures (sink, bidet, bathtub) emitted sewer gas all the time so we had to keep the door closed and windows open to remove the smell.
On the positive side .. the morning breakfast was lovely and always appreciated. ... We had to leave a day early, but understood the contract so had to forfiet our final night of payment. ... Inexpensive! Basically we got what we paid for. A 'one-star' hotel. Location to the Termini was a plus. Again, this hotel is sufficient if all you want is a bed and a shower.

I stated at the arrival that I am celiac and ask whether I could get only fruit and maybe rice cakes and they totally ignored the problem, indicating me a close shop where to get fruit. No tea for breakfast. In general very poor quality breakfast anyway. People going to Italy expects a bit better quality food even for a cold breakfast. ... Good quality - price combination. Very convenient location.
