The only negative about checking in was that no one explained the lock on the hotel door to us. It was a 4 part lock and you had to turn the key four times in order to get into the hotel at night. This was quite confusing the first night when we got back to the hotel after dinner and the receptionist was gone for the day. ... Though it was not a problem for me because I speak some Italian, it would be helpful to note that there is not someone there at all times who speaks English. In addition it would be helpful to note when coming from the Barbarini subway stop, you must ascend a very large flight of stairs in order to get to the street where the hotel is located. ... I would describe it as a lovely boutique small scale hotel conveniently located to many of the major sites in Rome. It was a very good value for the money and the location. The staff was always very friendly.

The bathroom was a bit small but functional and stylish ... Breakfast is ordered the night before and served in your room or on your terrace at the time you request. The bathrooms are tiny but stylish. ... Clean, sleek and private. No common area but the terrace is a fabulous feature if the weather is good. Because there are only 5 rooms the chances of a quiet night are high. Good neighborhood, centrally located, with metro, cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
