The receptionist was extremely gracious. He showed us to our room and was very informative about the room's features.

The only negative comment relates to breakfast charges. My wife only has coffee and juice and I wanted the regular continental breakfast. However, no matter how we ordered, both in the lounge and by room service, we were always charged for two full breakfasts. With a weak dollar and the high end cost charged by the hotel, we resented the midunderstanding. However, this is very minor compared to the excellent staff and fine appointments of the hotel

I didn't ask about when the hotel was reconstructed (from the former really great hotel on this site) but everything seemed new and well maintained. I suspect the reconstruction was fairly recent and that might help guests decide to stay there.

I think the web site explains very clearly all services and hotel facilities, maybe you can add something that surprised us: the tv-computer item we had in our rooms.

Our stay was very parisian and classy. We felt as if we were at the Ritz: in the middle of Place Vendome, 30 rooms only, cosy restaurant and bar, very dedicated and helpful staff, extraordinary comfortable rooms. ¡A great experience!

The showers leaked onto the floor, creating a little 'flood' which needs different engineering.
There was no 'hotel facilities/services book' indicating any of the facilities of the hotel, although when we called down to the desk, they were extremely responsive and helpful.
Other than that the place was delightful.

Beautiful rooms, fit for royalty. They are comfortable and quiet. The all marble bathrooms are lovely, although it took us one shower to figure out how not to flood the bathroom floor. The service is impeccable and everyone went out of their way to accomodate us. This will be our hotel of choice in Paris! The location is perfect, within walking distance of just about everything.
