The receptionist was extremely friendly and offered details of our accommodation in both French and English (my wife is a fluent French speaker).

In terms of question 9, I think the website did not do justice to the superb location of the hotel. The district was clean, quiet but only a short journey from the heart of the city. Equally the standard of room simply blew us away, with stunning views from our window. This accommodation was excellent in every way and we will certainly be returning.

The concierge was again very helpful, correcting a minor mistake on our bill with no fuss or bother. He was equally helpful in allowing us to store our luggage at the hotel until the time of our departure. When the time came for us to leave, he was also very helpful in dealing with a couple of queries we had regarding our tickets for the RER. Every member of staff was unfailingly polite and made our stay at the hotel an absolute delight.

As I say, I think the fact it is located in a relatively quiet, university district is a huge advantage. You rightly draw attention to the excellence of the rooms, though the sumptuous view from the top floor rooms might also be worth mentioning.

Having stayed in luxury hotels in various cities, I think this hotel, in its quiet, unassuming but above all friendly way, is right up there with the best of them. When my wife and I next have occasion to visit Paris, there's no doubt we will be returning to the Relais St. Jacques.

There appears to be some arrangement between particular taxi drivers and certain hotel clerks that results in a much higher taxi fare.

Lovely, characteristically French, very comfortable with nice furnishings and friendly, helpful service in a fairly convenient locaton with good access to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing.

During our stay at the hotel my partner found a piece of glass on the bed in our room after it had been cleaned. The hotel staff were most apologetic about this incident and the hotel manager agree for us to receive complementary drinks at the hotel bar.

Very comfortable,decorated to a very high standard clean and homely with friendly staff who are more than helpful. The entrance to the hotel is immaculate and very inviting.

The hotel was OK I suppose and we did enjoy our weekend - however, I wouldn't have described it as a 4* - more like a good 3*.
The only actual complaint we would have is that although there was a nice little residents bar we were unable to have a nightcap there and had to go to the restaurant next door because the guy on the desk in the evenings didn't know anything about serving drinks!!

Good 3*in the Latin Quarter with a lovely helpful receptionist - nice clean towels twice a day and a turn-down service.

The hotel is in excellent proximity to many of the major tourist sites in the area, but is on a quiet street away from street noise.
We had a wonderful stay and hope to return in the future!
