Very polite and efficient. I appreciated the upgrade because I was staying 8 nights.
They didn't ask for the voucher and I forgot to give it to them. So the next day I wasn't sure with the upgrade that I was receiving the same rate per night. But I checked with the desk and all was fine. ... Having internet in the room was fantastic. This was a working trip and having the internet in the room made my life a lot easier. In fact people staying at other hotels in my group said they would switch next time for the convenience.
Perhaps this is typical of Paris hotels, but there was no where in my room to put clothes i.e. no drawers. There was one closet with a small shelf. I was in the hotel 8 days living out of the suitcase. There wasn't even a place to really place the suitcase.
Also this may also be a French custom. But I would have appreciated being able to use an iron to remove some wrinkles from my clothes. I didn't need to have clothes sent out for cleaning just to remove a wrinkle. But the people on the desk who answered the phone said there was no iron - in fact didn't seem to understand my request. Please look into this minimal additional convenience. ... I would recommend Hotel Le Marquis. I would also recommend using the internet to make reservations. ... There could have been more about the surrounding area. For example there was a very good supermarket directly across the road from the hotel and I found it useful to have a few things in my room. Actually having a small refrigerator in my room was something I hadn't expected and again it was convenient for my extended stay and working visit.
The directions from the airport by metro could have been clearer. I ended up taking the RER to Denfert Rochereau and then train #6 to La Motte Picquet.
The day I left was the day of the Metro strike (March 10). No one at the hotel warned me. I only learned from someone staying in another hotel. The other hotel owner also ordered them a taxi the night before. I would have expected more help from the staff at Hotel Le Marquis. ... Very efficient, clean, well situated and good value. The people on the front desk were warm and friendly.
