The staff was warm and welcoming. We were immediately given refreshments and made to feel very comfortable. Also, everyone cheerfully spoke English, which was a big help since our French was tres mal.

This hotel is lovely and our room was beautiful. Very clean, very spacious, very comfortable. Everyone was so nice and helpful the entire time. We cannot wait to return next year!!

Our room was larger than what we expected after reading about it and seeing photos on the Web site. Also, it was VERY quiet and peaceful, both the location and the hotel itself.

I have told all my friends that we stayed in a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location with a gorgeous room, wonderful staff and all the amenities. I cannot WAIT to return to Paris and stay at the Hotel Lavoisier again. I am recommending it to everyone I know. It is a gem.

It said breakfast was included, but then you find out you have to pay to have eggs or bacon etc. Also, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the pastries.

Hotel Le Lavoissier is in a great location! We did not realize it was so easy to find, we literally stumbled on it. If your website included the metro stop nearby and directions from there it would be helpful.

The reason I got a better room is because the one they had described for me in the several e-mails we exchanged before my trip was not available or was not was I expected (according to the descriptions they gave me) They were very nice (specially Fabienne, she is fantastic!) and made up the mistake giving me a better room.

I enjoyed my stay very much, except for 2 BIG things: 1) the bed was EXTREMELY hard and made my sleep not confortable at all. They should replace those mattresses and put better ones 2) the heating unit was a problem. It did not have a thermostat so the heat will continue blowing non stop all night which of course made the room an oven.

Personal attention. It was like staying in a small bed&breakfast were everyone knows your name and treat you as part of the family.

A very nice, charming hotel, in a great location, affordable and with great personal attention. However, be aware that beds are not confortable so if you look for a soft, embracing bed, this is not your place.

I had requested a superior room with two
twin beds. Instead I received what
appeared to be a regular room with one
king bed. The hotel offered to separate
the bed, making it into twins, but I
declined. Had they done so, there would
have been absolutely NO room to move
around the beds. The room was very, very
small, not what I expected for 230 Euro
per night. However, the staff was
extremely polite and friendly and the
room and bath (also quite small) was very
clean.

I would describe the hotel as quite
pleasant, in a wonderfully convenient
area, very clean and decorated in a
simple yet sophisticated style. The staff
was extremely nice and helpful, but I
would definitely suggest that requesting
in person or on the telephone your EXACT
room needs (i.e. bed arrangement and room
size) would be farb better than simply
doing it all online.

The main front desk staff were friendly--some of the people they had working during off-hours had a surly attitude and were unhelpful.

Strangely--no clocks in the room.
Also--no shower-curtains. Typical for some french hotels, I've heard, but perplexing to us Americans.
There's the option of having your breakfast sent up to your room (instead of dining in the dining room)--a really nice perk.
