We arrived about 11pm due to flight delay but this was not a problem for staff - receptionist was pleasant and helpful.

Proximity to Jardins du Luxembourg - a great place to chill out on a sunny day - just like having a big hotel garden!
Very easy links to CDG should be emphasised more.

Close to the beautyful Jardin Luxembourg and not far away from the centre of Paris. I would absolutely book another stay at Hotel des Mines. Nice and quiet and yet lots of shops etc. at Boulevard Saint Michel, but no traffic noise at all as our room was located at the back of the hotel. Try it :-)

Staff quite satisfying and made you feel at home, we arrived 7.00 am in the morning and staff had a room available for us with in one hour at no extra charge.

clean, cosy with small rooms, friendly staff, I would hate to be elderly or slightly incapacitated as you would never be able to get into the shower.
The only other bad point was the bed being extremely uncomfortable and tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been a comfort.

Easy access to all the main tourist attractions. We went almost everywhere by foot, but when needed the public transportation was near. Before the trip we read other travellers opinions about the RER traffic underneath the hotel and we were a bit worried. Fortunately even though we stayed on the first floor the traffic didn't disturb us. After Amsterdam this place seemed like heaven. The facilities were clean and cosy and the staff was always friendly and ready to help. We even got tea after 11 pm. The staff also spoke very good english.

We arrived at 6am and they wre very helpful in offering us breakfast and storing our bags. They recommended and booked a morning city tour for us. Exceptional service.

In the rooom we had, the bathroom was too small as you couldnt even turn around in the shower, but other rooms I saw had better bathrooms,so if you stay for more than a day or 2 (we were there for 6)request a bigger bathroom.

Fantastic position, friendly staff, English is no problem and althoutg the rooms were a little on the small side (typical for Paris)they were clean,bright and welcoming.Overall a great hotel in Paris.The breakfast was cheap and plentiful.

We found our stay at Hotel des Mines to be pleasant and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great - we especially enjoyed being so close to the Luxembourg Gardens. Having breakfast available each morning was a real bonus, though it would have been nice to have had some variety in the menu as we ate the same thing 9 mornings in a row!

it is not so close to the airport because if you have to go to paris you will do better if you will take the bus directly from the airpost and not to sleep in beauvais and then move to paris by train
