When we arrived we were given a room in the basement which had a damp smell and a less than satisfactory view of the back of the kitchens and a stairwell, however we were given an alternative room upstairs after we complained to reception. We found the hotel in general to be very clean and the staff very friendly. The only small fault is the breakfast is very basic.
