We were very pleased with our experience at the Abcone Hotel. The hotel is very pleasant and the location is terrific! We hope to stay there again on our next trip to London next spring.

The Abcone is a small, but ideally located hotel with a friendly staff and rooms much larger than many similar small hotels in the South Kensington area.

Although fairly cheap, the hotel feels cheap to. Bad TV reception limited selection of channels. Meager 'free' breakfast. Carpet and Duvet was Dirty in my room. Staff friendly enough though, and it is in a nice quiet street.

The hotel is very nice and I had absolutley nothing to complain about. It is also very handy for the tube, knightsbridge and the natural history museum as well as hyde park.

When we arrived at the Abcone Hotel, it turned out that our booking had not been registered. Fortunately they had a room available, and we got a double room for the entire period as requested.

The room was quite hot, and some air condition could easily improved our satisfaction.

I paid £8 for WiFi computer access, but it only worked for a brief period. Further attempts to send e-mail and download files from the internet failed.
I did not complain as I was not sure if perhaps there was a problem with my setup, but I have since tried it elsewhere, and it is fine.

Reasonable, cheap accommodation near central London. Don't bring a lot of luggage. The rooms are tiny.

The only problem during my stay at Abcone Hotel was the size of the room.Staying for 11 days in a place that don't has a drawer to put my clothes and that was difficult to reach the other side of the bed wasn't the best (room # 21).But when I returned to the hotel for 2 more days the room was very good (room # 4)

The carpet had black stains on it..the room was in a basement next to linen cupboards and plumbing which banged loudly all night.
The breakfast was good.

You should warn people they may be in a tiny room in the basement.

We arrived early so our room was not available. We had to upgrade at an additional cost to get a room rather than wander the streets of London having arrived at 6.30am after a long haul flight.

When we had to upgrade to get a room we were told this would be a 'superior room'. The definition of superior appears to differ between counties. There was no room for our luggage. I would still consider this room standard and 2*. Breakfast was included on a bed bed and breakfast basis. Our understanding was a full cooked breakfast and were appalled we would have to pay 4punds each to have this,yet the continental breakfast cost 3 pounds. The person in charge was unable to make a decision to have us pay the difference to have a cooked breakfast. The dining area was also less than satifactory. The staff did the best they could but no doubt are under paid and over worked judging by the way the hotel is operated.

We were abviously spoiled in other places we have stayed around the world and felt we received value for money. This cannot be said of this hotel.

Not value for money.Tiny rooms and no room for luggage. If the room is rented on a double basis and supposedly 'superior' I would expect enough space in the room for 2 suitcases to be opened. The bathroom small and no area to place own toiletries. I would recommend they stay in a hotel around the corner.

CArpet was a stained quite badly but perhaps they should not use a very ligh coloured carpet in a hotel bedroom!
Breakfast was very basic but also very cheap so....

Given I had a reduction in the quoted price it was good value for money in Central London and suited the purpose of my visit well.
