Comfortable, clean, friendly hotel with well appointed rooms, fresh décor and modern bathrooms, in a good location and with balconies overlooking the city. Highly recommended.

The location was very convenient for walking into Piazza Maggiore and the staff were very accommodating and offered good suggestions for restaurants, etc.
Our room had an outside patio which compensated for the rather small overall size of the room.

We had people picking us up...and there was no place for them to park there car...they drove around for 20 minutes...and finally parked in a place they should not have parked to be able to come and let us know they were there. Fortunately, there car was not towed.

Very comfortable room. However, one complaint: the hotel gave us a card to be able to turn on the T.V. and it did not work most of the time. We only wanted to see CNN news. When we were checking out, we mentioned how annoying that was...but, were told that we should have told them...and they did apologize. They were very nice.

Absolutely charming receptionist who really could not have been more welcoming.
We were early for the room but she provided us with coffe and a spot to leave our cases. She then gave us a map, and her colleague recommended somewhere for lunch. First class reception and welcome

Hotel Touring was what I consider,very nice. It and Hotel di Sorrento were the 2 nice acommodations we had in Italy. The hotels in Venice, Florence and Rome (Guardi, Aldini, and Coronet) which were basically Bed and Breakfasts or 2 stars, were below standard and a very poor value. I wouldn't return to any of those. I picked them for location, which was excellent.
Our room at Hotel Touring and a kindly taxi driver saved our Bologna visit from a pool of tears. We drove in from Venice and had requested rental car return in the city, not airport. The travel agent was told we could drop the car in up till 11 p.m. When we arrived, we had a terrible time finding the Hertz office. I had my husband park illegally near the train station while I ran around on foot visiting information desks and police. There was no dropping the car after the Hertz office closed (on Saturday). We drove to the airport, found our way to the Hertz desk where the staff was all but incompetent. But it was clear that the car had to be delivered there. A kindly taxi driver made the trip back pleasant. We knew a taxi was the only way we would ever find hotel Touring. Bottom line, we lost most of our evening in Bologna. We had a nice dinner and a very enjoyable visit the next day.
So 'arrival' at the hotel, means one thing to you and something a bit different to me!
