we arrived late and the hotel looked closed. we did gain access when we rang a bell, but a sign would have been reassuring as it was in a dimply lit street and weren't sure at first whether anyone would let us in. ... the staff weren't particularly welcoming. the room wasn't particularly attractive, though it was clean. the bathroom was better. ... again the staff were only polite, not particularly friendly. it's not somewhere we'd return to. ... pretty basic. fairly well located, but in a dingy street and not warm and welcoming. the decor was unsophisticated. the plumbing was good.
