completely pain free - the Hotel organised at my request a driver to collect us from Nice Airport - he was waiting & got us to the Hotel in complete luxury ... All staff were very professional & polite - nothing was too much trouble. Any questions we had were either answered at the time or else they made every effort to source the information required. Pool area needs attention - uneven walking area around the pool which could be hazzardous for the older guest & pool tiling needed attention, but pool staff wonderful ... Dealt with swiftly & without fuss. ... You should include details of the fabulous food available in the restaurant & also that service charge is included in the price. ... San Remo is a little run down but there are some fabulous Michelin Restaurants in the town - but they do take a little bit of finding. The new railway station is great - with direct routes to Nice,Montecarlo and Portofino. In the town there are an abundance of good quality shops combined with small local bars & restaurants - a perfect mixture. The ROYAL HOTEL sign as you arrive does not do justice to the luxury that lies within the wonderful gardens & hotel
