We had a little trouble finding the place (we took a wrong turn). I would recommend arriving during daylight so you can see landmarks easily. Owners are extremely kind and speak excellent English. ... We were told the rooms had a great view of ASsisi, but the view is in fact spectacular. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, newly remodeled, and very tasteful (including the green tiled bathrooms!). Everything is done in an authentic Italian tradition. Also, breakfast was excellent and all home made. ... This was by far the nicest place we stayed in in Italy, for a similar price. ... No, everything is there, but the difference is that you really can believe the good things they say about this hotel. ... Quiet, charming, spectacular views of Assisi and Spoleto Valley, rooms are large, clean, and attractive, owners are extremely helpful and attentive, breakfast is delicious.

Great great place to stay and get away from it all. Letizia, the owner/cook/hostess is a fabulous host and made our stay very special. Beautiful views from the upstairs rooms which I would recommend. Great eating at Alla Madonna del Piatto and at nearby local restaurants. A very special place. ... Completely renovated farmhouse on a hill over looking Assisi and the Umbrian valley. Letizia is a great hostess and her family is very welcoming. Recommend speading a day taking cooking class with Letizia in her kitchen. A great location from which to tour Umbria or just a place to get away from it all and relax.

Letizia and Rood are warm and gracious hosts. The accomodations were comfortable, lovely and immaculate. A thoroughly positive experience. ... An exquisitely restored farmhouse, off the beaten track. Fabulous views. Charming, friendly, english speaking hosts.

... My mom and I absolutely loved our stay here. The family is charming and the views from their property are fabulous. The breakfasts were wonderful with homemade jams--made of fruits gathered from their garden. Letizia suggested a wonderful, close restaurant for dinner one night with a truffle pasta dish that was my favorite meal of the trip. We also took a cooking class with her which was very fun, I would recommend it for sure.

The directions were clear, and the reception at this agriturismo was cordial, purposeful, and attentive to our needs and preferences. We were quickly made to feel welcomed and oriented. ... A rental car is a virtual necessity, and it is probably best to make arrangements to pick up your rental in Peruggia before coming to Assisi. Be sure you have your directions with you; otherwise, you may need to have someone call your host to find the way.We happened to arrive on April 25 (a national holiday), and the car rental agency in Peruggia was closed, so we needed to use a taxi (I think this cost us about 30 euros)for one trip up to the agriturismo, which is, I think, 6 or 7 k out of Assisi.
Our stay of three days during a two-week vacation in Italy was the most beautiful and refreshing time of our travels. The hosts here were courteous, informed, and when free, very conversational and warm. Both have good command of English, patience with their guests, and are wonderfully informed individuals.
Breakfasts were served in a clean, pleasant common room area. It was possible to talk privately or to converse with other guests. There was also a nice patio casual visiting and looking at the long vista. ... The hosts did all they could to insure there was no confusion about charges or checking out. ... The host, Letitia's, cooking classes in small groups can be a very pleasant addition to the stay (for an extra charge; pre-arrange this). Her recommendations for dining in Assisi were very good. St. Francis' Path of Peace runs uphill from Assisi to a point near this Agriturismo, then on into the hills, making it possible to walk down to Assisi, for example, or up to the agriturismo (and far beyond it) form Assisi. ... Lovely, green, calm, with a startlingly expansive view to Assisi and beyond. The agriturismo is a lovely home, some portions of which are 500 years old. The rooms are small, serene, and simple, nothing overly ornate or foo-foo. I would encourage a friend to enjoy this beautiful place.
