Alberto was most friendly and helpful during our arrival, and indeed for our whole stay. He moved our room, at our request, to a higher floor with more light, with minimal fuss, and helped us in so many ways, such as providing maps - highlighted with roads marked out - recommending routes and places to visit etc. All his recommendations were excellent and appreciated.

Apart from Alberto, mentioned in the caption above, the rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. We were very happy at Il Convento, and we and our friends are considering another visit there in the future. We will definitly recommend the establishment. Alberto, in specific, went out of his way to be assistance to us in every way and made out stay very comfortable. Even though the timing did not work out in the end, he offered to make arrangements to assist our daughter and her friend, who were joining us for one night only, with laundry as they had been travelling for three weeks non-stop.

Apart from comments made above, we would recommend wholeheartedly a visit to Il Convento. I would have one suggestion though, and that is to request a room with light, preferably on the top floor. We were moved to such a room which was much better, although our friends did not complain about the rooms on the two lower floors. The view of the bay is lovely and the hotel is very conveniently situated for boat trips, within walking distance of railway station, even with luggage, and also walking distance of beaches (right over the road) and all restaurants. Oh yes, and there is a lovely gelaterie just over the road, and a supermarket (with very rude assistants) nearby. We loved Rapallo and Il Convento :)

The receptionist, Tanya, was extremely helpful. She made our visit a joy and is truly an asset to any organization. Her cheerful attitude and willingness to help is far beyond the average hotel receptionist we encounter. By all means, keep her.

The staff at Il Convento were the friendliest I have ever encountered. They went out of their way to help with planning local activities for us and even helped us to negotiate regarding a broken rental scooter (long story...). We were in Italy to get married, and we liked the staff so much we invited them to our wedding :)

The facilities are exactly as advertised. The location is an apartment, not a full-service hotel. Although you get full service throughout the day, the staff are not present from 11pm-7am. This was not a problem at all, but some people may be surprised. Overall, the location was great, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we could not have been more pleased with the overall accommodations. When we go back to the Riviera (and we will...), we will definitely stay at Il Convento again.

The room with the spiral staircase was a bit
unwieldy(?) so we were able to switch the the
Attila with bedroom on the same level. The
sofabed was very comfortable too.
This was by far the best accomodation I have
ever had in Italy, with a view of the bay and
the castle - FANTASTIC

The staff at Il Convento were very helpful at all times. Our room was clean and spcious enough for us. The location is perfect for exploring Rapallo and Rapallo is perfect for exploring this part of Liguria. We would strongly recommend the hotel. Go raibh maith agat!

We enjoyed very much our staying at Il Convento, the staff was extremely helpful specially Alberto and Tania in giving us adequate information about interesting places to visit, train and bus schedules,etc. Specially Alberto in giving us information in where to park for free. Rooms were kept very clean with linens changed daily.

Definetely we will recommend Il Convento, and we'll stay there again!!
