We payed a little extra for a bigger room and it was worth it. We loved our stay. The location was perfect for everthing, there was a nice view and the buss system worked beautifuly. Word of warning, get a porter for your bags. Positano has lots of stairs and it is worth the 5 euros per bag. have fun! :)

Perfect hillside location with spectacular views of both the sea and the town. Short (15 min) downhill walk to the marina / town centre. Quiet location, lovely meals, friendly staff. Clean rooms, good sized bathroom. Breakfast outside on the terrace is an amazing experience as the view is unforgettable. Will definitely stay at Hotel Conca D'oro again if I am lucky enough to return to Positano!

A porter greeted us at the bottom of the 105 stairs and carried our luggage up to the hotel which was brilliant.

We had a Superior Double room and for the small additional cost, the large terrace overlooking the sea was well worth it.

We were not aware of the amount of steps up to the hotel and then a further lot of steps up to the reception area. We had to carry our bags up all those steps because we did not know that a porter would have done it for us. This was the only disappointing aspect to our stay. A porter did bring our bags back down the steps when we were leaving. Other than that the hotel was extremely good with very nice staff!

As already stated, the only fault we have is the fact that there are so many steps up to the hotel which was not impressed upon us on the web site! We spoke to the receptionist before we left Napoli, as she was trying to get us a driver and gave us information about taxi's and fares, but we were not made aware of the porter service, and after a long trip this was not a very nice experience carrying the bags up the 110 or so steps!!!

The staff were very helpful, giving us information on how to get to our next destination, i.e. giving us timetables for buses, ferries, etc. or calling a taxi.

Absolutely should include details about the steps up to the hotel, an older or disabled person would not have been able to make the trip. Maybe make it more noticable that there is a porter service for carrying the bags as this would very much enhance your stay.

Very good value, nice & friendly staff, fabulous views and generally very good - except for those steps!

I was not informed that a Porter was
available to help with luggage up the 108
steps to the property. This would have been
very helpful!

it is easy to use

We booked a superior room, and I found it strange that we didn't have any privacy at all. We had a large balcony with a magnificient view, but all the other hotelguests could look right into our room, so I had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Everybody had to pass the balcony, also the staff used our balcony as a workingplace. This I find very strange, and in my point of view this is everything except superior. The hotelstaff itself was excellent.

Re No 17 There are 105 steps from the path up to the hotel. Unfortunately it is not possible to contact Reception without first climbing these steps. Once reception knew of our arrival our luggage was collected and carried up.

The difference between Standard and Superior rooms was not clear e.g. size of room and/or size of balcony

the roof solarium and sun beds were unavailable on the second day due to works which was a shame as it was a sunny day and we were hoping to spend time relaxing there we were able to use another balcony but it wasn`t as comfortable as the roof
