If I was looking for a place that was relaxing, frindly and a great view, in addition to some of the best cooking found in Italy this is the place. Look at the web site and enjoy.

The directions supplied were a bit vague. Positano is a small town, and the street is one way going down the hillside through the town and is very narrow with many shops and signs to try and find the signage for the hotel. Fortunately, we stopped the car and asked directions and only had to continue a short distance to the hotel. Had we bypassed it, we would have had to go all the way up the top of road and come back down again. Also, there are quite a few steps up to the hotel, so this one is not for the weak of heart or legs.

The hotel is family run and one could not ask for better service and friendliness of the staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are quite spacious and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the view from your balcony is breathtaking. The wonderful breakfast included in the price consisted of freshly baked croissants and pastries prepared in the hotel kitchen. Along with these were wonderful cheeses, hamspreads and marmalades.
The coffee and hot chocolate were also delicious. But nothing could compare to the hospitality shown by Signori Lorenzo Cinque and his parents, Signori & Signora Michael Cinque. The entire family speaks fluent English which makes it very helpful for the American visitor.

Checkout by Lorenzo Cinque was very effecient. He was extremely helpful in giving some tips on things not to miss during our continuing drive of the Amalfi Coast. Also, his detailed directions back to Rome and the airport where we dropped off our rental car were most appreciated.

The most beautiful and romantic place we have ever seen in all of our travels. The town, the people, the restaurants and food, the shops, the hotel, the view, everything was perfect. The Cinque family, owners of the hotel are the friendliest and most hospitable innkeepers we have ever met.
This is the second time we have stayed with them and they remembered us from our previous visit and were most appreciative of our return. I will tell everyone I know about our wonderful experience and am already looking forward to our next visit in a few years when my husband and I retire.

Finding Albergo Casa Albertina is difficult since there is only a small sign and the hotel is significantly away from the road up a 3 story walkway. Knowing that you can park in the taxi stand, walk up the stairs and that their staff will take care of your car from there would have been very helpful.

The view from the hotel rooms is magnificent and can't be given justice by description. The staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome and at home. They were also very helpful with recommendations on touring the area. The food was excellent and I would certainly recommend the breakfast and dinner option as eating out is quite expensive in Positano.

The owner himself checked us in and, upon learning we had not eaten, ushered us out to the beautiful terrace and quickly brought us a delightful lunch -- at 4:30 pm. when the kitchen was not even open! a gracious welcome indeed.

Some of the guide books give the impression that half pension is required. in fact we booked for breakfast only without a problem, which was ideal with so many restaurants in town to visit.

We had bought some fresh Buffalo Mozzarella the day before; I was concerned about keeping it cool on the road and a staff member quickly improvised a perfect packing job in bags of ice that lasted all day in the car.

Parking was available. It would be helpful to know that the hotel is a number of steps above the street and that you will need to carry your bags up these steps. It was unclear when we were checking in where we should put our car before they parked it for us.

Charming, good view of Positano from our balcony, and close to good restaurants. Only a 10 minute walk to the heart of the town.

It is important to note that the hotel is 65 steps above road level and therefore access can be a challenge if you have your full quota of luggage.

Spectacular views, good access to restaurants and the beach and shops are just a reasonable walk away. However, the hotel being 65 steps above street level can be challenge if you are not travelling light.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The rooms with the terrace have a fabulous view of Positano.
The rooms were a little noisey in the mornings.
