It is amazing driving up to the Villa, beautiful and breath taking.

Our stay could not have been better. The entire staff was lovely, spoke excellent english and were so kind to my husband, myself and our 2 year old daughter. The accomadtions, views and grounds were beautiful. It is a wonderful place to stay. We can not wait to return. We stayed in one the apartments and walked every moring thru the olive groves to breakfast at the main villa. What a treat!

Romantic, heavenly, enchanting and exactly what you would hope for. Close to Florence but out of the noisy city.

On our arrival we did not receive the accomodations that were agreed upon, but on the following day, we were moved into the correct rooms. From that moment on we were elated. The staff and accommodations were beyond excellent. We were pampered and plan to return to Villa Montartino. The photos on-line do not do it justice and the location was most amazing. I can not say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. They did everything and more.

I don't remember reading on your site that Villa Montartino did not have a fully functioning restaurant, although they will prepare (delicious) meals upon request. I may have assumed they had one since they do a fantastic continental breakfast every morning, but it should be made crystal clear.

When we tried to check out the receptionist was elsewhere on the property and there was noone available who could check us out, and we were under pressure to make our train to Venice, so that was mildly frustrating, but everything worked out fine.

The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The grounds and views were spectacular. The pools were clean and heated. The staff was accomodating and always friendly. The Chianti was really good!

The pictures on the website do not do justice to the wonderful Villa Montartino! Our stay at there was absolutely enchanting. Our two-level apartment was perfectly suited for my daughter and I as we traveled with my brother and his girlfriend. The views from our apartment, the lovely furnishings and the hospitality of the staff made our dream vacation a reality. I can't wait to return.

Staying at the Villa Montartino enabled us to savour a little bit of Tuscany without being far from the center of Florence. The Villa is both elegant and comfortable and surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend staying here and will come back again.

When we arrived we had to wait by the pool in searing heat whilst the apartment was made ready. We were not offered any refreshments and we were not shown any of the facilities.

The accomodation lacked basic amenities. Whilst clean and comfortable, there was a lack of cutlery, crockery and dishes. The outside lacked seat covers and there was no parasol to keep us in the shade.
My small daughter became ill, noone from the Villa asked if we were ok.
The activities offered were not available nless booked in advance and the restaurant was not available in the evening unless booked in the morning.
On the evening of our arrival we were sent to a restaurant about a Km away, which clearly treated tourists differently from locals.

The Villa is beautiful and the views are scond to none. There are two swimming pools and jacuzzi and sauna as we found out on the last day. However there were no planned activities which is the reason why I booked this villa. So anyone reading the online adverts beware. This is the perfect place for those who just want to use the place as a base but not for the family who want to enjoy all the facilities. So Tuscany Dinners, art sessions wine and olive oil tasting, making your own pizza etc are not available

If you rely on the bus to get you into Florernce, you should be prepared for the very, very steep climb along the raod to the bus stop. it was not a problem for us, but could be for some.

While the accommodations were clean and spacious, etc., we did not think they were as good as they should've been for the price we were paying. The room had no curtains so the sun woke us up at 5:30am; the shower in our bathroom was tricky to use and poured water all over the bathroom floor; and the food at breakfast was quite limited. Also, we could hear people talking right outside our window in the morning -- not so quiet and private!. For the price of the room, our expectations were not met.

When we voiced our concerns to the proprietor the next morning and said we'd be looking for another hotel, she graciously offered to not charge us for the night we stayed. We appreciated her professional manner.
