The location was excellent. The best asset, however, was Simone, the gentleman working at the property. Simone is an excellent ambassador for the property. He was very informative, very helpful, and very courteous. He even offered to allow a guest to park at his home to save on parking fees during the guests stay.
I would use Worldby again simply because of Simone, and I would definately stay at San Frediano again, as well as recomending it.

There was construction on the street which caused us to have a bit of trouble following the directions. This was minor. The apartment arrival was just great. Simone was there to make us feel welcome, and we loved the apartment at first sight.

The apartment was fitted out with everything we needed. We cooked many meals there and enjoyed the neighborhood stores as well as the apartment. There were many extras that we did not expect.

Note that people should ring the front door bell upon arrival.
Florence is an ideal location for travel around Italy, as is having this apartment.

If you want to go to Italy, and be a part of a great neighborhood and city -- this apartment will give you that opportunity. It was private as opposed to commercial. We travelled daily by rail, and the local bus connection to the station was convenient. It suited our needs perfectly.

We were very pleased with our three rooms and the hospitality of the owner/manager. There is wireless internet available at no cost which pleased us since we had our own computer with us. The location is very convenient to the sights we wanted to visit. We recommend San Frediano without resevation.

There was ample drawers, closets, and space to make us comfortable.

The elevator is life saver. Going up two stories to where we stayed would have been terribly hard without the use of the elevator.
The bathrooms are creatively added to this very old building. Not a lot of extra space but again very functional.

It is good value, friendly, and well located. If a person wants a 'high end' living arrangement, this wouldn't be their choice, but for the seasoned traveler who wants comfort and good value, I would recommend it>

apart from the scafolding restrected view.the accomadation was very good.

Couple of small things. They offered cereal as an option but only had one cup (not a bowl) so a second guest couldn't have cereal!
The bedside light's electrics were a bit dodgy and you couldn't have the fridge and the bedside light on at the same time. But they're small details. The place was splendid and the people were extremely helpful.

That the rooms are very well furnished and absolutely huge and form part of the aristocratic floor of the palazzo and not the servants' quarters, for example. That the rooms are very well heated.
No phone in room. (Neither postive nor negative for us.)
That despite being 'rooms', not a hotel, they clean your room, make the bed, and change the towels every day.
Double glazing reduced noise of road.

There was no problem about arriving by bus was well informed only comment is to list the bus stop as Bus D- San Friedriano 6 or 8 forgot, not San Friedrano by itself.

We had a small room the first night of our three night stay. simone told us he would move us to a bigger room the next morning. the bigger room was the greatest rom i've ever stayed in. it had 30 feet walls with a freco painted on the ceiling, not to mention two large windows overlooking the florence river. amazing room, amzing price at 70 euros a night.

They have a small elevator, which made arrival with large bags much easier as the residence is located on the second floor of a building.

Great deal for the price, and the proprietors were extremely friendly as well. Rooms are nicely decorated and very large--some have kitchens and sitting rooms as well--and the hotel's extensive collection of guidebooks was also helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

The staircase/elevator leading up to the B&B were a little gloomy looking - but I was really impressed with the accommodations.

Little concerned when we drove up to the entrace, it did not have the 'mansion' look to it, but that was rectified once I discovered how to get through the gate and into actual property.

The 4 locked entrances that we had to enter and leave through certainly allievated any safety concerns we may have had.

The cappucino machine and beverages in the accessible fridge was a very desireable touch as we did not want to leave the room to get these type of items once we were in for the night.

A reclaimed mansion that has 5 lovely rooms on the second floor. Safe, secure and helpful staff that made our stay enjoyable. The fresco on our ceiling was an intriguing addition and historical aspect to our stay.

It was extremely spacious and overall lovely. The courtyard is right off the main street but is quiet. The elevator is small, but is sufficient to accomodate two people or one person and luggage. Complementary beverages including coffee and juice were nice and unexpected. A little confusion with the maid because of the language barrier, but the other staff members were helpful and spoke english well.

Our host Simone was very helpful. He went out of his way to help us with our rental car arrangements, contacted our next rental in Cinque Terre for us and made the best cappucino in Florence!

The San Frediano is full of character, the frescoed ceiling and tall shuttered windows - We enjoyed watching the streetlife below on Borgo San Frediana and altho the traffic was noisy when the windows were closed it was quiet.

I am always skeptical about the photos and descriptions on websites -- anything can be made to look decent with careful photography and the right wording. So I was pleasantly surprised with the San Frediano, especially when compared with the other places we stayed in Italy. It was also the most expensive place we stayed at though.

We really liked the location. It was on the 'other' side of the Arno, just two or three minutes from the bridge. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, including the train station. Our room was very quiet and protected from any street noise. The bed was even comfortable!

Interesting experience. Basically, someone bought a floor of this 'mansion' and turned it into a bed and breakfast. It was worth the cost. Easy access to all sites and shopping. Make sure you plug in the mesquito device or risk getting a few bites!

I had to knock on other peoples doors to find out how to locate the manager to let us in.

A map of the actual premises with a picture of the front entrance and directions for getting in.
Breakfast arrangements were not clearly defined and quite meager. I think more would be expected from people from people say from the U.S.A. or Britain.

Hotel was on a busy street that backed up with vehicles and trucks in the morning so don't try and get a taxi at that time. It is faster to walk and they are not far from most attractions. There a pub where students hang out in the evenings so if you are on the front side of the hotel and want your windows open, it can get noisy. Ask for a room in the interior or backside of the building. Elevator is available but if you are a larger sized guest, plan to ride it alone!
