Angela was most helpful in all ways; she arranged for reservations at museums, gave advice about where to eat and shop, and called ahead to tell shop or restaurant owners that we were on our way. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and well equipped. We were treated like family members staying in a private home.

I would highly recommend the Residence Michelangiolo to friends visiting in Florence. The property is beautiful and was recently renovated to a top quality lodging facility. The location is perfect, private but within walking distance of central Florence and very near the bus stop, restaurants and neighborhood eateries. Angela and her partner were warm and welcoming, always ready to assist in making reservations or suggestions about dining, musuems or shopping. Our rooms were spacious and well equipped with DSL internet service, a kitchenette with food and refreshments, and very clean. We wanted to stay longer!!!

Our eight-day stay in this beautifully renovated charming Italian villa truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived (late in the evening), Barbara and Angela provided us with first rate service. Both the personal attention and beautiful quiet surroundings contributed to making this our best holiday experience ever. Our room, with a terrace overlooking the garden, was beautifully decorated. From the king-size majestic bed in the bedroom (dressed in what could only be described as a custom-tailored Florentine golden textile dream) to the flower-shaped chandelier in the kitchen, no detail was spared when transforming this villa into a peaceful retreat.
Every morning, prior to our daily visits to the numerous museums and monuments Florence has to offer, we welcomed the sun via the graceful wooden terrace doors. Chatting over a nice cup of café latte, we prepared the day's itinerary. With Barbara's help and Angela's enthusiasm, we always knew what places to visit. From making our museum reservations to providing us with an umbrella when the weather was not cooperative, no detail escaped their attention. Even the weekend revealed its surprise: a complimentary bottle of Italian wine awaited us in our room as we returned from a hectic day of city touring. A lovely gesture from the staff, indeed. Needless to say, with memories like these our next trip to Residence Michelangiolo is in the making.

We were very warmly greeted. The room was exactly or better than was communicated in email exchanges. The hostess was extremely kind, warm, and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at the Residence Michelangiolo. It is an impeccably well-restored mansion. The room was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed just staring up at the beautiful ceiling and plaster. The hostess was most gracious and very accomodating. We enjoyed her very much. We would gladly recommend to anyone.

A gem in Florence. I would go to Florence just to stay here. The location is perfect for those who want beauty and quiet away from the main touristy areas but within walking distance of Florence's attractions.

The accommodation exceeded all of our expectations!! Our hosts were exceedingly polite, welcoming and helpful and recommended a superb eating place - Gigi's for evening meal.
Easy access to and from the city and to the marvellous Piazza Michaelangelo for a breathtaking view of Florence.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending the Residence to anyone - a luxurious and very quiet place to stay.

Emphasise that the Residence is at the bottom of the hill. Cross the road at bus stop number 13 and walk a few metres away from the round about - Number 21 is on your left.

Although we spent only one night, I was very suprised, the room was absolutely fabolous, clean, spacious. Secured private car park and lovely garden, it felt homely. Although I would suggest that they should provide breakfast, as a tourist you don't have the facilities to make some breakfast. Definitely one of our most favourite place we have stayed during our 4 weeks and many hotels. Thanks

a well placed villa type residence within walking distance of city centre.off street parking is available which is a major bonus if you hire a car. the rooms were big and spacious, no communal dining area for breakfast etc which didnt bother us but is a slight negative. staff are great and the place is very well kept, really clean. bring your mosquito repellant as with all hotels in florence.very near a collection of bus routes(within 100m) all going throught he city to the train station.great location in a safe neighbourhood. no swimming pool.

Flight from Stansted to Pisa was delayed by six hours. The proprietors were gracious enough to wait up past 11:00 PM.

As the property is located 2 km's from the city centre and in a residential neighbourhood, it was very comfortable and peaceful at night. A very comfortable walk from most of the major sites in Florence. Very nice way to balance all that wonderful Italian food!

Residence Michalangelo is a perfect place to stay in Florence if you don't want to be right in the centre. It is excellent value for money. The room was wonderful and was like a suite. Angela is fantastic in being very helpful and informative.

Great, like having to stay in somebody's villa. Kitchenette was worth the money, liked king-size bed, newly-renovated bathroom, larged ceilings, terrace with a coffee table. Nicely located in residential area with a bus around the corner,if you choose to walk to the old city - 20min. Gets a little noisy by 6am(which is part of beeing in Florence anyhow); wooden shutters are helpfull. Angela was very helpfull and nice. Only positive expirience, would recommend to friends.

Walking distance from/to the city center is longer than expected; we constantly had problems finding a taxi to/from the center due to a general shortage of taxis in Florence;
