We were made very welcome on arrival and were given very useful advice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Residence Hilda. The apartment was spacious, well furnished and very clean. All staff were very courteous and helpful.

Staff kindly arranged for a taxi to be waiting on the morning of our departure as we left before Reception opened.

Outstanding. They are very friendly and helpful, and even take you up to show you your apartment.

The apartment was beatiful and very modern, and even closer to the center of Florence than we thought. The apartment was comfortable and had all of the features anyone would need to be self-sufficient. It was really easy to cook our own dinners. The apartments were also very quiet and secure considering how loud the streets can be there. What really made it exceptional was the quality and friendliness of the staff that always went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

While it was relatively expensive, especially with a weak exchange rate, by the end of the trip, we feel like it was a high quality experience.

Location-wise, I could not think of a better place to be, however (this might be obvious to the more experienced traveller) I would encourage people not to eat at the restaurants nearest to the big historical sites in the center of Florence, especially the places surrounding the Duomo, quality and service were poor, and even rude on one occasion. Definitely tourist traps.

I would highly recommend Residence Hilda to friends and family, and I know we will be staying there again.

We were welcomed very kindly and courteously. Every effort was made to answer any and all questions we might have upon arrival, such as helpful suggestions for markets, restaurants, etc. We were made to feel 'right at home!'

The only problem we noted was the front door being left open by residents coming and going after hours when the receptionist was not in the office.

When someone is talking loudly in the courtyard below on the first floor, it echoes up the center of the building, and is annoying especially if a window is open.

A nice alternative to a hotel room! Very comfortable! Certainly a place one can relax, which is what we look for in accommodations.

We were very happy with the arrival, but had we arrived between 13.00 and 15.00 hrs it may have been different, as we were not aware of Siesta between those times.

We were very happy with the accommodation. It was clean and spacious, and well serviced.

The chek out was very good. We were particularly happy about being given use of the room to store luggage until the pm time of our train. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

Need to explain better about heating arrangements for the rooms.(Electricity off when out of room??) Different from North American. Rooms could have been warmer.

Not sure if 'arrival goods', ie food basket is on web site, however this was offered to us prior to our arrival and was really welcome after trying to navigate the confusing and narrow Florence streets by car! Included coffee, tea, milk, bread and other basic food goods.
