This was our favorite experience of any hotel we stayed in over the two weeks we traveled in Italy. We enjoyed meeting all of the staff as well as meeting one of the family members who owns it. Very welcoming, beautiful and a fabulous location. ... Upper class warm Italian experience.

It was perfect. We were shown immediately to our room without lengthy delays filling in registration. We just left our passports. Excellent, when one is very tired, hot and bothered from a journey. ... It was a perfect stay. We have stayed in some of the most beautifult resorts/hotels in the world and this was another experience. Although the Palazzo Niccolini only provided bed and breakfast, it can most certainly be regarded as five star (apart from the fact that there were no robes in the bathroom - although I am sure if we had asked for them they would have been provided). The laundry service was prompt. The staff were more than helpful with a number of my requests and booked for Enoteca Pinchiorri very last minute for my husbands birthday. ... I think that more should be said about the smallness of the PN. There are only seven bedrooms and we really did feel we were staying in someones beautiful residence. The location in Florence is perfect. We had the most wonderful stay there. ... An exquisite place to stay. A perfect haven in the heart of the one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We are looking forward to our return next year!

This small, elegant and beautiful hotel is a real gem in a city of many gems. Beautiful rooms, beautiful furnishings, helpful and cheery staff, terrific location (30 meters from the Duomo)and a gorgeous breakfast/sitting room. The Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo should be everyone's first choice in Florence. ... See above comments plus the owner was present to greet us on our arrival and to tell us a bit about the history of the palazzo. ... The palazzzo is magnificent. Perfectly maintained and surrounded by antiques and beautiful furnishings. Free computer access to those who want or need it. ... The place to stay in Florence for those travelers who love small luxurious hotels and do not need a pool. This is one of the best hotels I have ever experienced.

An excellent hotel (really a home) in a great location with excellent people. Our trip to Florence would not have been the same if we had not stayed here. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence.

Very helpfull and thorough. ... You represent some of the finest areas to stay. Without you, I would not have found this wonderful hotel, nor have had such a romantic and pleasing experience. ... Wonderful !!! Will be sending my parents there as well. ... Words can not describe it but I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an Italian experience.

V. small hotel, so the actual Manager was out. Her assistant showed us to our room. ... It's not a 'traditional' hotel with a foyer, bar, restaurant, concierge. Room Service (unused) I guess would be limited. It is however such a very convenient, 'haven of sophistication' literally 30 seconds from the Duomo and the Florentine sights. The hotel management are there to assist in any type of request, eg. restaurant recommendation/reservation. ... Managed palatial rooms - if it was good enough for Donatello . . . trust me you will enjoy! The Renaissance finery one sees all around you in the City is mirrored in the hotel's interior.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The bellman brought up our luggage and didn't even wait for a tip! It was a very warm environment. I was amazed that the Duomo was actually less than half a block away. The location is perfect. ... The receptionist made dinner reservations for us and also got a reservation for museums so we didn't have to wait in the long lines. The room was even larger than I expected and looked exactly as the picture. Frescoes cover the walls and the ceiling is very high. It was beautiful and I was delighted. It felt more like being in a palace than a hotel. I would definitely recommend it. We stayed in the junior suite but I wish I had seen a double superior to compare because it was quite a bit less expensive and was probably very nice too. ... Because our flight left at 5:30 a.m., and the staff doesn't arrive at the residence until 7:30 a.m., we were able to check out the night before. She called to arrange for a cab to meet as at the door but it hadn't arrived by 10min. passed the agreed upon time and we couldn't get back into the hotel to make a call since we had to leave our key on the desk. It wasn't the fault of the staff but it left us wandering at 4:00 a.m. looking for a cab to the airport.

Do not reccommend that people stay in the smallest room. It was over priced for what you can get in that city, and it was too small to even put down a suitcase, very dissapointing. We changed the following 2 nights and spent quite a bit more, but it was worth it. ... I'd say the standard room was much worse than I expected much too small. Not worth it ... It was very difficult to get a rental car - the hotel said it would be easy and it wasn't. ... The fabulous owners are so gracious and will give you a tour. Plus, the top room has got to be the most magnificent view in all of Florence! ... Quaint, beautiful, full of history
