Residenzia Manzoni - What a Delightful place to stay & the accommodations were outstanding, a 5* facility & location.
The receptionist, Marcella, went out of her way to go to the bus stop, Mary & I were at after our journey from the train station. Turns out we were right around the corner from the Pension. She assisted with our luggage, cheerfully showed us the room, surrounding Ristorante's and maps of Firenze. The facility itself was immaculate, is a GREAT location, far from the center, but CLOSE to ALL of Firenze's sights. In fact close enough to not have to utilize any transportation, but walk-power. The rooms were cleaned every day, in-room breakfast was delightful, and there was 'plenty-of-room'. We definitely WILL recommend the Residenzia Manzoni to ALL of our friends who may visit Firenze. In room breakfast was a pleasant surprise, from what we had experienced in Italy, after the great breakfasts of Germany & Austria.

GARAGE IS ABOUT HALF MILE AWAY AND HAS WEIRD HOURS - YOUR CAR MAY BE INACCESSABLE AT TIMES!!!

Residenza Manzoni was a fantastic B&B. The room was lovely (with particular attention to detail that we did not expect for the price we paid). The staff at the front desk were fantastic. During our stay, we were invited to join a family member overnight and the staff allowed us to shorted our stay by one night without financial penalty. In addition, our 2 year old broke one of their lamps. They were absolutely gracious and declined our offer to pay for it. My only other comment would be that mosquito screens on the windows would be an added bonus. In general, a lovely stay!

Both the girls working at the desk spoke engish extremely well, and were great at giving us directions and advice on restaurants.

The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast. On the first day, we were given toast, a croisant, with jams, and cheese spreads, and there was fruit provided. For the next two days, we had the jams, and cheese to spread, but no toast to spread it on, and there was no fruit. So it was a croisant and a small chocolate cake, which didn't go a long way when you are spending the day touring.

The staff was very helpful and willing to work in English or Italian to help us out. When there was a detail they did not know about the city, they would find out.

We were very happy with our stay. The in-room breakfast allowed to get out and tour Florence with plenty of energy. The location was close to the sights without being mobbed by tourists, and we could stop off for a siesta without having to walk too far from the Duomo. Our three sons (young adults) also enjoyed their room, and having a triple kept the stay economical. The staff was great, and we would return to Residenza Manzoni next week if we had the chance.

The parking gararge was a little inconvinient but that is only from an American point of view. I was very grateful to have it at my disposal.

The lady was very plite and also very helpfull in recommending retaurants and giving information on tavel to the city centre. My reception was very reasuring.

I was very happy to find my accommodation to be very clean reasonably quiet and comfortable. I particularly prefered the breakfast arrangements rather than a more formal dining room.

Perhaps it might be a bit difficult if it is necessary to depart earlier than 9 o'clock;perhaps to pay the bill in advance if possible

I think perhaps the number of flights of stairs could be a problem for those who are not too physicaly fit. Also,there being no all-night porter is a little disconcerting for reasons of security and safety.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable with a very pleasant and helpful staff - including the cleaners. I would tell them the hotel is out of the city centre a little but easily accessible if they follow the instructions you give them. Local buses are frequent.I would boo in to Residenza Manzoni again

Everything was great untill the toilet broke down and we could not flush... When we told the receptionist about it she offered to switch to another room the first day and the day after to a second room. We did not want that, (because we had a lot to pack and unpack of course)and there were a long discussion before we could get one room for the whole stay. However we solved it good, and are pleased with our stay!

It was clean and ok rooms, good if you dont need to much service and advices about Florence. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is fairly good.

Residenza Manzoni was a beautiful place to stay. However on arrival, as you walk in the main door from the street, the building did not look very welcoming. It was dark and dusty. Inititally I thought that Residenza Manzoni would look like this - but I was nicely surprised. Perhaps the owner of the building could clean up the main entrance.

The room was a lovely size - nice and big. It was very homely, and I enjoyed coming back there in the evenings. It was great to have a fridge in the room too.

Beautiful place. Very clean with a lovely breakfast. The choice of teas was great, and there is a personal touch with sweets and chocolates left in the room.

The breakfast was less than what we had expected. We had better breakfasts everywhere else we stayed. Everything else was very nice.
