The hotel is situated in quite small alley which wasn't clearly shown on the map in my book guide. I think some map should be attavched on the web site with hints how to get there by car - driving around Florence was very, very confusing!!!!

I would advise better description of the breakfast - we were informed breakfast was included but in fact it was only cofee and croisoint. I wouldn't mind that if it was clearly stated while booking the hotel.

Nice hotel, quite cosy and very conveniently placed in downtown Florence. Very friendly atmoshpere with always smiling staff.

We took a cab to get from the train station to the hotel. The cab driver did not have any problems in locating the hotel. The cab fare was appx. 10 Euro. We arrived about 7:00 p.m., and there was someone behind the counter that got us in the room in a hurry, since we had just arrived from the U.S. The bags were heavy, so the receptionist offered to help, since my wife could not pick up the other luggage bag.

The room was not spacious, but the A/C was beautiful. We were mostly out enjoying the sights, so the room size was not important. We basically used it only for sleeping. The breakfast was satisfactory. We did not hear any noise in the hotel throughout our stay.

Considering that we were minutes away from the Duomo and right across from the Santa Croce church, the price in comparisson was great.

The hotel and room size are small, but they were both very private and comfortable. There is nothing extravagant about the hotel, and parking space is not available nearby. If you go, ensure that you take a taxi to it's location.

The taxi drive found it fairly easily and
although I was about an hour early, the room
was ready and I was able to lug my baggage up
3 flights of stairs (no lift, which seems to
be the norm for hotels in this price range in
Firenze) and take a much needed shower.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful
throughout my stay.

I didn't have many expectations, as I assume
that photos shown on a commercial website are
always going to be the ones they want you to
see. The room was nice, but as my experience
has been so far, the bed was hard and
uncomfortable. The shower was just a curtain
that you short of pull around yourself --
essentially the whole bathroom is a large
shower.

The staff was able to secure my train tickets
to Cinque Terra and was very good about giving
directions, instructions about riding the
train, etc. I'm very grateful for their help.

we weren't expecting the exact room that we had, we thought it was going to be a bit more like american hotel rooms from what I read on the site and from what friends have experienced staying there.

Absolutely wonderful staff that had recommendations whenever we needed any. Very accommodating, we were able to leave several items there while we went to another town for 2 days. The location was perfect and the price made it even better! I would recommend it to anyone

The room was very small (but clean).
The bathroom was too small, and the shower itself was non-existent: you just stand in the middle of the (small) bathroom, and pull a short curtain around yourself.
The entire bathroom floor, bathroom door and a part of the room's floor were wet after the first shower.

The room is very small - see remarks above.
There is no elevator, so it is not that pleasant to stay above the 2nd floor (we stayed on the 2nd floor and it was ok. It would have been nice if someone was to help with the bags).
Breakfast is continental and not that good. They also give you a cheap feeling: we asked for one more piece of toast and they refused.
The best thing about the hotel is the location. The question is: is it worth the money.
