The staff were very pleasent and helpful, and if we go back to Florence we would most certainly enjoy the accomodation offered at the Hermitage.

We arrived very late at night. The staff were more than courteous and prompt. A welcome card and bottle of wine awaited us in our room as we were in Florence to be married. The staff were very knowledgable regarding train, bus and other travel reservations and more than willing to assit in arrangements. I would definitely stay at Hotel Hermitage again.

It has wonderful access to everything in the historic centre of Florence. You are within walking distance of everywhere you`d want to go. As a bonus - the best gelato was in the little bar at the base of the hotel.

Reasonably price - very competitive. Conveniently located - no necessity for a vehicle. Courteous and helpfull staff all of whom speak English wonderfully.

We arrived two hours early, but were accommodated as one of our two rooms was ready. Check in was easy and very friendly. The hostess offered great suggestions for an Old Town afternoon walkabout.

The staff helped me coordinate my checking out and picking up my rental car. Also, they gave EXCELLENT directions leaving Florence and driving to Greve in Chianti. In contrast, the directions provided by the rental car company were confusing and inaccurate.

This was a wonderful hotel and a great surprise. It was everything promised; excellent location in Old town, next door to the Ufizzi, and a fantastic view overlooking the Arno Rive and Ponte Vecchio. The staff was friendly and helpful and made us to feel as if we were special guests in their home. This was a lucky find and I will definitely return.

Because of its proximity to the busy street along the river, it can be noisy, but all in all a lovely hotel.

some instructions on the room air conditioning would have been very helpful the 1st night. When we arrived , it was apparently on 'timer' and went off during the night, and the room got very warm. We figured it out on our own the next day.

Riverside rooms can be noisy at night from traffic below,(incessant motor scooters) but the view is superb!

There is a flight of stairs from street to elevator landing, and we were asked to bring our luggage up those stairs. Not good enough.

AC is turned off for an hour every day at 11.30
Desk clerk during the day was excellent. Evening person was not interested in helping.

Only one elevator. When it goes out of service, the stairs will be a big problem for elderly and, as in my own case, injured knee. Reception and breakfast on fifth floor.

Good location, nice breakfast facilities, no lunch or dinner served, stairs could be a problem, rooms are maybe 2 1/2 stars but overall 3 stars are about right.

Perfectly wonderful hotel, location and city! We can't wait to return. The hotel is in the PERFECT location and the views from the terrace are amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful and offered great suggestions for dinner.

Better value for the money. I was shocked when we got there that the hotel is only rated 3 stars! It's in the best spot of Florence - the Arno, Uffizi, and the Ponte Vecchio are all steps from the hotel. From the garden terrace you have a view of the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio and in less than one minute you are at the Uffizi. In about 5 minutes you are right in the middle of everything!

The hotel was in a perfect location and ideal for a stay in Florence. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would recommend the Hermitage to a friend. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff, comfortable rooms although ours was a little small (but not uncomfortably small). Nice bathroom with shower. Great location, although there is nowhere to park when you drive to the entrance of the hotel, which caused us some anxiety. I'm not sure there is a good solution to this parking problem, however.

My luggage had not arrived, and the receptionist offered to call the airline, and made several calls on my behalf until my luggage arrived. The staff were most helpful, friendly and cheerful.
