I would unhesitatingly recommend that anyone visiting Florence stay at Home in Florence. It is perfectly located,walking distance to all museuims and sights, in a quiet and picturesque neighborhhod. The staff has excellent knowledge of the area and good working relationships with local restaurants.
The facility itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, especially considering the reasonable price.

The receptionist/guest service agent was extremely cordial and accommodating. He gave us detailed information and directions to various points of interest in Florence and went above and beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend Homes in Florence to others.

Free Internet was available for our use in the Pitti apartment which we were not aware of when booking. It was appreciated. Free Internet was available for the B&B as well. The only negative comments would be the stairs leading to the B&B and the water for showers. Massimiliano helped carry the lugguge of the early arrivals up the stairs, which was great. The rest of us managed our luggage just fine. The B&B was worth the few flights of stairs. The water for the showers would stop completely at times but was a minor inconvenience.
One other comment would be that the Dante apartment was described as being 300meters from the B&B but was more like 2 kilometers!

The B&B rooms were large and well equiped. Some had lovely painted ceilings. The Pitti apartment was larger than expected and just great. Large windows and no bugs while we were there. The Dante apartment was large, well equiped and had a skylight. Lovely!

but 2 reservations :
1) the cabin shover was very narrow and badly equiped ( shower high and fix).
2) the breakfast was not in the home but in a bar neighbouring and very restricted ( 1 small coffee, 1 small croissant and 1 small fruit juice)

We arrived in siesta on a Sunday and they had left very clear instructions printed on the outside door - could not be clearer or more thoughtful!

Nothing too much trouble, free internet access, and very clear directions to great resuarants - one was the highlight of our stay in Florence. Staff chased up reservations to historic sites, printed out train timetables. All in all a fabulous place we will stay at agin when we are in Florence. Also large, superb quality beds. What more can we say - very authentic, yet great modern features such as a safe in the wall.

The owner, Paolo, was there to meet us and was very friendly. He provided us with a map and suggested many very good restaurants, things to see and walks.

Really good - very quiet and very little noise from the street outside.

Really nice place at a good price. Would recommend staying here rather than a hotel. Big bed and well-decorated room. Good to have a safe in the room too.

We stayed in Leonardo room. The bedroom and bathroom were quite spacious and very clean and well kept. We were delighted with our stay and would recommend to others. We also had access to the internet which was helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities either in the room or somewhere at the property would've been very welcome.

The property is located in a poorer part of Florence and the outside of the building and common spaces inside were not attractive. However, the room and reception area exceeded expectations, and the owner said the common areas are scheduled for rennovation.

This was by far the best bed and breakfast we stayed at during our travels in Italy. The room was beautiful and the staff was delightful.

All was very nice, only minor point was that on the television with BBC News there was no sound!
But we didn't want to watch television very much.

First floor doesn't usually mean 27 steps, which could be a problem for some. Also, breakfast was not served on the premises. It was excellent, but would have been more convenient on site.

I ordered 2 beds and only recvd one. They assumed that the two of us were married and were not.

When someone reserves online for 2 person 2 beds they should receive that. I had a great stay other than upset about not receiving what I placed reservation for.

we checked out very early so there were no staff there. if we had been later I am sure the staff would have been prepared and organised.
Accommodation price was 10 euros more due to paying with travellers cheques which had to be converted.

The direction to the B&B stated in the web site is not clear, and the time needed to walk from train station to that B&B is exaggerated. It took me at least 25 minutes very fast walking from train station to the B&B while the web site says it only takes 15-18 minutes. It's not that close to the train station actually.

There are mosquitos in the room, though the hotel stuff put an electric mosquito repeller in the room. In general the room is clean and very spacious. Free Internet access is offered to guests, this is very good.
