Hotel is a bit shabby and could use some renovation. The breakfast also could use some improvement. This comment based upon comparison with a 4-star (comparatively rated) hotel in Rome where the breakfast was far superior to that offered at Hotel Ritz.

Question 2 - there was no doorman, but the check in clerk was behind his desk. It would of been nice to have someone to help with the bags.

The room and breakfast were what we had expected. The location of the hotel is excellent. We were able to walk to all the sites we had planned to see and to some great restaurants as well.

Everything was fine except that my room was very noisy due to the street traffic. i liked having the view of the river, but the street noise was very distracting.

The room was very large, with a nice view looking over the river. Bathroom was clean and spacious.

This excellent hotel is in the prefect location on the River Arno just minutes from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio and walking distance from most of the attractions of Florence. The tourist sightseeing bus stops just accross the road. The rooms are very clean with bedding and towels changed every day. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day. I will certainly stay there again.

Maps were available, they made phone calls to help us return our rental car and did numerous other things to help us get settled.

The staff went out of their way to help us with sightseeing and getting to and from our destinations.

The daily breakfast was very good with a polite staff present at all times.

I would definitely reccomend it.
