I received a very warm welcome upon my
arrival to Hotel Botticelli. I felt as
though I had arrived at my 'home away
from home.'

The entire staff was friendly and
helpful. The housekeepers were just as
polite. The room was impeccably clean
and neat not only when I arrived but
every day of my lengthy stay. I felt my
belongings were safe and secure in the
room at all times.

When I asked for the bill it was ready in
only a couple of minutes. Afterward the
staff phoned for a taxi for me and
proceeded to help the driver with the
bags. They were very kind as I left. It
felt sad to leave them!

The best way to tell about my stay is to
say that I plan to stay there again when
I return to exhibit my art in Florence 2
years from now. At this time I wouldn't
consider staying anywhere else!

I would recommend you improve the variety of food for the breakfast.

A well located cosy hotel with a friendly service.
That's my second visit to Botticelli first one being in 1999.When I wanted to come to Florence again the reason above is why I chose this hotel once more.

It should be stated that private parking is available at the hotel. The parking garage was extremely helpful upon our departure to load luggage.

We had a very difficult time getting to the hotel with the car. On foot we had no trouble. A rough start which turned out to be a very pleasant experience and a very convenient location. The cappucino in the morning was delicious and made up for the trouble in finding the hotel.The accomadations were very clean and neat. We enjoyed our visit.

The young girl from Portugal was very helpful and sympathic to our rough start and was most accommodating during our stay.

On-line map imformation could be more helpful for first-time Florence visitors, particularly those prepared to walk from the bus station to the hotel: distance and route not as clear as it might be - something to do with map size on internet.
At the hotel as helpful and uneventful as a late evening arrival ought to be.

We got stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes, but staff was able to manually move the elevator to the door level for egress. The staff was very responsive.

Comment regarding question 9 above:
The rooms are nice and clean but not as big as in the photos on the web site. You might be showing a suite with sofas, but we tried 2 rooms in the hotel and they were much smaller.

The hotel is in a small street/alley. Eventhough the rooms in the front, facing the street are very noisy in the morning. We woke up about 5:00am when the street cleaning people and the supply started to arrive to the shops around. We then changed room to a back room which was very quiet.

The only adverse comment I would make is that the room was rather restricted in space, there were no drawers for storing clothing and I missed having a bath.
We requested an extra pillow and, because we had been cold in bed on the first night, an extra blanket. Both were provided immediately and with no fuss.

I haven't looked at the website before writing this but I must congratulate your staff on their efficient and charming treatment of my grandaughter and me during our stay.
On my return home I emailed the hotel because I had left a pair of jogging trousers behind. They emailed me back immediately - though sadly hadn't been able to locate my trousers - and promised to help if they could.

One receptionist was very polite, the other was equally not polite.

The noise of the air conditioning system was annoying.
Only after the 2nd change of room (!!) I got a less noisy one.
