In general very good but was woken up by some builders that were doing work on the room next door at 7:30am the work also started again in the afternoon at 5:00pm

The hotel was good staff were frindly and nice but the room was extremely noisy, throughout the night you could hear people above the room and outisde the room. Plus the staff would start cleaning the rooms early and make addtional noise, I was pleased to go home and get some sleep.

Very slow service when it came to checking out.

Mention the rooms are not sound proofed most paris hotel mention this and so do hotels in ROme I took this for granted bit realised its actually essential.
For the price paid it was very over priced and I would have probably liked to have booked somewhere else.

In the city centre and very close to the station but if you want some sleep go somewhere else. The noise doesn't come from the street but inside the hotel itself!!!

Room unusual shape, constrained by architecture of the ancient building. Fairly quiet despite the very busy area/narrow streets etc. Good air-conditioning.

Attempted to check out evening before because of early departure. Assured it could be done easily at the time of departure. Major computer problem significantly delayed my departure, resulted in stress in arriving at airport for check-in time. Still do not have printed receipt - to be mailed to me.

No safe deposit box in room - only at reception. Internet available at 6euros per hour.

Interesting very old building with modern facilities retro-fitted. All rooms unique in shape/size etc dependent on existing architecture - some even stranger than mine according to the fire evacuation floor plan.
No other Florence hotel to compare but 4star grading seemed a little high for the facilities/surroundings - though no actual complaints about my time there.
