The hotel was exactly as I expected and wanted.
The staff, especially Barbara, was the most helpful and obliging of any hotel I have ever stayed in.
I was delighted with the hotel and everything about it and I will probably use it as my base whenever I stay in Florence.
The one downside, that is not the fault of the hotel, is that the street it is on is a dirty and spookey.

1) Do not be put off by the street outside the hotel
2) For the truly wheelchair bound. There are about half a dozen steps from the street level to the elevator. Request a room on the same floor as the reception desk

Clean, modern, friendly, good location and excellent value for money compared to similar hotels in the city

The lady at reception, who is possibly the owner of the hotel was friendly and helpful, giving me a map of the city and directions.

Room was nice, to the front of the building. Only disturbance was the sound of the buses leaving the adjacant bus station at about 5am. Somehow their sound was echoed on the empty street and woke us, which is unusual as we are usually very sound sleepers!

This hotel is very well located and in a charming old building. The room we were given was spacious and spotless, good bathroom and generally the hotel is lovely, although small. I would stay there again, and could happily recommend it to a friend for a city break in this wonderful city.

Hotel Annabella and Stella Maria are run in the same establishment so it could be a little confusing.

I was pleasantly suprised by the rooms we received. Better than other 2 star hotels I've stayed in.

Allowed us to leave luggage while we went out for the day.

Breakfast was a poor selection of food. The Flakes were stale and the only selection for breakfast were rolls and Instant coffee. On the second day we changed from coffee to tea. We stayed at two other hotels in Italy and they provided hard-boiled eggs, fruit and yogart. One also provided bottle water.
The room was over a bus stop.

very positive reception when we arrived..felt a warm welcome from the staff.
liked the property very much..clean and nice high ceiling.
only one constructive comment...time for them to replace the pillows that are worned out.
will get back when we next visit Firenze

I asked for a triple bedded room so was expecting three single beds, and I got a double bed with a folding bed.

The hotel was no better or worse than I had expected. For the money it was probably good value. There aren't enough breakfast tables. Our bedroom was not as attractive as the one pictured on the website. Some of the staff were a little grumpy but apparently that is commonplace in Florence.

They got our bill wrong. They thought we had been there for three nights not two but this was quickly changed. They obviously wanted us to pay cash, but took a credit card a little unwillingly.

The reception desk is in behind a door marked with the name of another hotel which was confusing.

Simple, clean, spacious but dated accommodation. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water and towels. Very clean beds but extremely lumpy pillows. Noisy as on bus route.
