The area is under construction, and with the numerous one-way streets, it took us an hour to physically get in front of the hotel. That was very frustrating, but the staff were terrific and very accommodating.

All of the staff, from the people at reception, to the porters, to the servers at breakfast were remarkably polite and helpful. One morning I asked for directions to a newsagent who sold the International Herald Tribune. I received directions, bought the paper, and the next morning the Tribune was delivered to my room by hotel staff! Amazingly thoughtful.

Mr. Rossi, manager of the Hotel was very helpful in resolving our problem with a car that we have rented for our trip.
Also, would like to mention that breakfast was beyond our expactations.
I do not mind to advise Hotel Massena about our experience with them if you prefer to do so.

our only less than wonderful experience was the included breakfast...the first morning we went to the dining room unluckily at the worst time and there were no tables and no service...the staff was trying their best but were overwhelmed...and the selection of food was only fair...the second morning we ordered breakfast in our room and it was perfect, delivered right on time and delightful...

we were most pleased by the excellent sound-proofing of our room...it faced onto a busy little side street, quite noisy with the balcony window open, but once the window was shut there was perfect silence...wonderful for a city hotel...
more information on transportation to/from airport would be helpful

hotel massena is an excellent hotel choice for comfort, location and price in Nice...our prestige room was spacious and incredibly quiet with the windows closed, with a touch of old-world and very french charm but all modern conveniences...the old town, the pedestrian shopping streets and the seaside promenade were only steps away from the hotel door...

We were not 100% satisfied with the room hotel booked for us (too small). When asking for upgrade, hotel Massena provided us with one of the best rooms which we found satisfactory. We appreciate the effort.

The booking process is very timely, courteous, and professional.

Except one day that our room was not made up while we came back late in the evening, every experience in the hotel is very good. Also the staff in the hotel treated us very well and resolved the problem very quickly when they realized the mistake on room service.

The menu for breakfast was excellent.

The serive and accomodation are great value considering the very reasonable price and the great location of the hotel.

A HOTEL LOCATED PERFECTLY FOR A STAY IN NICE,
SHORT OF STAYING ON THE WATER ITSELF. THE HOTEL IS A NICE SIZE AND QUITE ELEGANT.

We were greeted very warmly and professionally and enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone that worked at the hotel that we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We didn't find that every place we stayed, but we did at the Hotel Massena.

The Hotel Massena is in a good location. Close to great restaurants and the beach. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, which was nice because not everyone in Europe is friendly to Americans. The room was clean and well tended to, not a large room but it had everything we needed.
