Taxi driver drove us around for over an hour then charged us 53 euros for a trip that should have been between 35-40 euros.

Not suitable for people with difficulty walking as there are a lot of steep stairs in the hotel.

We were a little surprised to find out that our accomodation was on the 5th floor and there was no lift.

We eventually got used to the difficult climb up 5 flights of stairs which were at about a 45 degree angle.

I believe that the fact that the hotel does not have a lift is on the web site. If not, it definitely should be. Also the price quoted does not include breakfast.

The Atlanta Hotel is in a very old but well kept building which has an excellent location right in the middle of downtown Amsterdam. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the trams. On the weekends the location can be noisy due to boisterous crowds in the nearby pubs and restaurants.

There could have been more up-to-date information and guides for tourists in the hotel lobby.

Pleasant and hassle free. Clean and well maintained shared facilities like the toilets and showers.

Good area where there are many cafes, pubs, disco and a nice little park in front of hotel.

It was a surprise that the hotel is on the first floor with a steep staircase. Carrying luggage up was very difficult as I am incapacitated.
A bell at the bottom of the staircase would be useful to call for assistance.

The property was worst only because the room we had was in a corner angle and very little sun came in through the window. We had a brick wall to look at! But aside from that the hotel was ok.

That it was in a comfortably located area with lots of resturants close by.

The room I ordered was much smaller than what it looked like in the description and at photos. e.g The double bed was only a 1.5 bed (125-130 cm. However we got a so called deluxe room for 10 Euros extra per day, and were happy with that. I also think it should be clearly stated that the hotel is located in the most noisy area in Amsterdam with noise from the outside restaurants and people until 5 am in the morning. Hence It is not at all suitable for families or people wanting to stay in a quiet area

A charming not to expensive hotel, perfect for a party weekend in Amsterdam. If you are going with your girlfriend or family choose another hotel. The rooms are small (we saw at least 4 rooms)and the location extremely noisy.
