bar a little way down that could get a little noisy at night. don't know if paying extra for canal view is really an added plus. But it is in a wonderful neighborhood in Amsterdam, walking distance to everything. Yes, breakfast is pricey, better to go out to any close patisserie available on any street.

Excellent room, facilities,location and friendly staff. Would definately recommend this hotel to a friend. Staff were very helpful and spoke english very well.

I assumed there was air conditioning and there wasn't. Our visit was during the time Holland had very hot weather. Our room was on the third floor , so our room was like an oven with no cross ventilation. We had to leave the windows open which didn't help at all. Loud noises ventured to our room all night long. Unfortunately, it made our stay very unpleasant.
